We've entered May which means @wrong_speed_records will be with us in a matter of weeks... @blindeyenotts are on the bill and have a new record out on 5th June - here's what @theendlesshum says about them: "Raging HC from Nottingham. Ex and current members of Bloody Head, Heresy, Dead In The Woods, Wolves! Of Greece (one of the greatest bands of all time), Army Of Flying Robots. Fronted by the urgent vocals of Anmarie Spaziano." Get your ears on new single 'Blitz Can' and fire up the start of your bank holiday weekend properly. Blind Eye will be with us on Saturday 23rd May alongside a carefully curated lineup courtesy of Endless Hum and Wrong Speed. @shipleytriangle will be there from 6 pm to ease you in gently...

Saturday 23rd May is coming up fast, which means it's just over a month until @wrong_speed_records land at @kcc_shipley with a heady cocktail of riffs that only the fine selection of beers from @shipleytriangle could compete with... @irked_69 will be hitting the stage when the sun goes down and you've been well and truly warmed up - here's what the tastemakers at @theendlesshum have to say about them... "Formed in 2022; IRKED quickly gained attention as veterans of the UK DIY scene. Scaring audiences into submission, IRKED are satisfying the demand for urgent, snarling, politically motivated punk – served up with a salty dose of humour and sass – think pissed off, but ready to party. IRKED first played for us in 2024 at Northern Monk Refectory, as part of our patrons series of beers with the brewery so we are very pleased to bring them back to Bradford. Lyrically covering personal politics, inner-circle politics, work politics, and class politics and set to the backdrop of thee finest Saints / Stiff Richards / Wipers-inspired rippers, IRKED’s debut album The Grievance is out on 1st May." For fans of: Downtown Boys, Alien Nosejob, Uranium Club, Surfbort, Pissed Jeans, G.L.O.S.S, Gouge Away, The Shitty Limits.

@wrong_speed_records fest north is coming up on Saturday 23rd May at @kcc_shipley so we're going to highlight the artists with some wise words from promoters @theendlesshum - starting with the one and only @objectionstheband from just down the road in Leeds... "A ridiculously impressive trio featuring 2/3 of Bilge Pump and a Nape Neck. In fact, we love them so much we’ve put them on twice before. If you caught them at one of these shows, or listened to any of their recent radio sessions for all round good egg Marc Riley, you’ll know what to expect; noisy, rhythmically diverse yet danceable fun. Their debut album ‘Optimistic Sizing’ was one of the best records of 2024." FFO: Deerhoof, ESG, Pavement, Bilge Pump, Shellac... See you next month - our house bar @shipleytriangle will be ready and waiting from 6 pm.

@theendlesshum are your local leftield / noise / experimental promoters, and @glacken & @bjthebear from their collective will be joining us for our stellar DJ lineup on Saturday for the @kcc_shipley launch weekend. They've previously threatened to really burn your ears with a pure drone and black metal set, and have since retracted this with talk of Pixies, Interpol, Torche, Red Fang and Elder. Honestly, who knows where this will end up but it can be pretty much guaranteed that they'll make a racket and bring the noise.

Members of @carehomenoise were heavily involved in the early DIY hardcore and noise-rock Leeds scene, promoting shows and releasing records since the early 2000’s in various guises. They've played in some of the best bands to come out of that era, including the likes of False Flags, USA Nails, Red Stars Parade, Hawk Eyes / Chickenhawk and Year Of The Man. Drummer Matt is 1/5 of local promoters @theendlesshum - who also released their album 'For Nothing'. Forming in 2019, Care Home released their debut EP ‘Assisted Living (Part 1)' in 2022 after a brief global pandemic hiatus; the EP received multiple great reviews and physical copies have since sold out. They’ve also supported the likes of Jesus Lizard, Ken Mode, Oxbow, Birds In Row, Sex Swing, Container, The Shits - and recently toured the UK with Coded Marking. We're showcasing our new PA at the @kcc_shipley launch weekend, and we've signed Care Home up on Saturday 25th October to give it a proper road test. £5/£10 tickets are on sale now.

Our @drewmillward has knocked it out of the park again. You can't go wrong with a massive fuck-off skull can you? Anyway, I reckon these will be on sale at the gig, probably. More news to come soon, but in the meantime tickets are sliding out pretty quickly so don't hang about if you fancy joining the festivities. Ticket link in bio. @out_of_spite_punx / @kcc_shipley

@anotktwr were well loved around these parts back in the early 00's; their importance could be seen not only in a burgeoning local punk / hardcore / DIY scene, but also in the influence they had on the indie rock sound that came to define West Yorkshire's musical output on a national level. Their first album in over 20 years being released last month was a welcome surprise - finding out that @theendlesshum and @out_of_spite_punx had booked them to head up their lineup for the next Endless Spite all-dayer actually came as no surprise. Saturday 6th December will see @aaa_gripper @ama_thyme @onlookertheband @hiddenyouthband @_fastblood and @ox_scapula join them for what will be one of the highlights of the @kcc_shipley launch season. Tickets are on sale soon.
