On the eve of our first international appearance, at the acclaimed
@dunkfestival in Belgium,
we invited two special collaborators onboard for the release, which sees us further stretch out our sonic terrain into previously unchartered territory.
“THE DIVE” features
@madeleine.cocolas - an Australian composer and producer (now based in Tokyo Japan) who creates post classical and ambient instrumental music. Her work moves between lush soundscapes to experimental electronics, field recordings and solo piano.
“NO BREATHING IN DREAMS” sees us bring fellow Birds Robe artist
@the_orphaned_bee onboard - a Sunshine Coast based solo project that combines synthwave & ambient textures with odd beats to create a fresh palette of synth prog & psychedelic rock.
This release sees the band mostly dial back the heavy guitars and incorporate synth heavy textures.

“We’ve always welcomed the idea of collaboration with artists who excite and inspire, and it’s an itch we have wanted to scratch for some time.
When you reach out to a potential collaborator, there can be a sense of unease…
“What if they are not into this idea..? What if they are not into us..?”
Thankfully, both collaborators dived into the project with enthusiasm,
and the results are more than we could have hoped for -
@madeleine.cocolas and
@the_orphaned_bee both enhanced the material, and made us better…
