We couldn't come back and do just one show after all this time... So let's bang out another before we go hide away and record some new music. Very excited to be back at @mojosbarfreo for the first time in many years - and with @bolt_fun and @sleepthinkk it should be an epic night. Friday June 5! Ticket link in bio/story.

If two men with a white van like this approach you.... Stoked to have Ben back in the fold to play Yield to Despair at the Rosemount on May 1! And who knows, maybe a new album after that? Fun fact: this little van had 2 seatbelts, 7 blokes and all our backline in it. Expertly driven by @maartenflip over 7000km around Europe in 2013 for our first ever overseas tour. What a time!

We haven't played Downbeat live in 10+ years! Long overdue! We can't wait to finally unleash it at the Rosemount on May 1 when we play the Yield to Despair from start to finish for the first time ever. Here is 2.5 minutes from the middle of Downbeat (full track is 18+ min) live at @dunkfestival 2015. Shoutout to Youtube user Aivars Ivbulis - and our very own pal Paul Briggs for the various angles here. Ticket link to the show in our bio.

The 10 year anniversary of Yield to Despair ticked by last year... and we've always wanted to give this album another moment in the sun, so let's do it! Ben is back on drums and we have Jarred from @yomiship on guitar duties. There are parts of this album we have never played live and others we haven't played since 2015... but its all happening cover to cover on Friday May 1. Stoked to have @lifecultband @halo.of.teeth and @lovemenot.band joining us for this one. Tickets on sale now at Oztix. See you at the Rosemount!

It's been a long time since we've been in contact - and we have some good and some bad news to share today. The sad news is that our most recent lineup is no more, and Gracie and Paul will be moving on from TToL. We're all still friends, but life has pulled us in different directions for now. Paul joined TToL in 2016 after a few years and tours as a guitar tech - so he has been well and truly part of the furniture with Tangled for 11-12 years. The wildness, flair and boundless creativity that Paul brought to TToL was a huge part of the band's sound across No Tether & Oscillating Forest. Gracie joined in 2019, seemingly emerging out of nowhere from down south. She blew us away, learning the songs quickly and then fearlessly jumped into an Australian tour opening for Russian Circles a few weeks later... then a European tour a few weeks after that. Many of you will know that Gracie suffered serious hearing loss about 2 years ago when we were on tour, which she is still dealing with. The dissolution of this line up has been a difficult period for all of us, but Gracie has had to endure the most with her injury. She’s an incredibly talented artist and we know her journey is far from over. We wish both Gracie and Paul the best for the future, and you never know what the future holds for us playing together again. More on the future of TToL below. The good news is that we have one more special release from this version of Tangled. It's called The Floating Realm and it comes in both audio and visual form. We recorded it in early October 2023, just after the launch of Oscillating Forest. This was a live improv recording that we also filmed in the studio. We invited @caitlinmkhasibe to film herself creating some art live in reaction to the audio - and then stitched it altogether into one video which you can find over on YouTube. You can get the audio on Bandcamp. TToL will continue on with both new music and live shows (just around the corner in May). More details to come there but for today we want to get The Floating Realm out into the world and celebrate the contribution of Gracie and Paul.

Hello friends, long time no see. Firstly, thanks for all the lovely messages of support for Gracie. In the last few weeks we've been back together and playing - nice and relatively quiet for now - as well as getting out for a walk in the bush in the rain. Still no gigs for the time being - but we will have something new and special to show you soon. More on that in the coming weeks! Peace, TToL

Hi everybody. Firstly, thank you for your support for an amazing tour around Australia. It was a wonderful experience to play the new album live and get back out there after so long. It's been amazing to see so many people picking up merch and the records since we got home. Unfortunately we have some difficult news to share. After the final show with Russian Circles last month, Gracie woke up in Melbourne with what she thought was a blocked ear, out of the blue. After flying home to Perth, Gracie was told by doctors that she had suddenly completely lost hearing in one ear. Since then Gracie has been undergoing daily treatment to try and get her hearing back. As you would understand, this is devastating news for a musician. There is hope that this can be turned around, but to give the best chance of success, Gracie needs to avoid drums (and the rest of us making noise!) for a while, and concentrate on her health. It’s amazing that she has been willing to share this with people to raise awareness of the issue, but we also ask that everyone respect her privacy. We will post updates if and when the time is appropriate. So with that said, unfortunately we must pull out of our shows for the next couple of months. Apologies to everyone who had planned to catch us at Dunk, London and in Perth - but we must put health and well-being first right now. We'll work on new plans to get back to the northern hemisphere and back around Australia when the time is right. In the meantime, we have some more new music on the way which we’ll share with you very soon. Much love, TToL
