The record is out. Our 4th studio album.
We worked on these songs for literally years and labored and obsessed so it’s a strange feeling to have it out of our heads and hands and into yours. we arrived at this point after the pandemic with so many demos and not enough time, so we selected our favorites and brought them together into something eclectic but special.
The record was mixed by @andrei__eremin , engineered by @_regimusic and the gorgeous artwork was created by @ectoplasmic_jelly .
The title is a line from Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, about not needing to find words for everything all the time. On that note, we’ll finish up this post and let the album do the talking. It’s out today on Bandcamp, streaming services, CD, and the LPs will ship at the end of the month.

Unfortunately our dear friend Alex Wilson from @sleepmakeswavesaus has just been informed he needs to undergo surgery in December. As a result of the recovery period required, sleepmakeswaves will no longer be able to perform at the Melbourne show on Saturday 13 December at Max Watts.
SMW will still play their scheduled Sydney show on Sunday 7 December in Sydney, before Alex goes under the knife a couple of days later.
All being well Alex is back to full health for a wonderful 2026 and we wish him only the very best.
Refunds will be available from Oztix for anyone who no longer wishes to attend the Melbourne show as a result.
But just a reminder if you keep your ticket you’ll still get to see Trail of Dead playing Source Tags & Codes, Closure in Moscow, Toehider, Anubis, Echotide, Kodiak Empire, Svntax Error & Myriad Drone!
oh hello, it’s been a minute. we are emerging from the year of hibernation for two shows in summer to celebrate the 15th birthday of our beloved label/mgmt/friends @birdsrobe . the lineup is a bit of a headspinner and we’re truly honoured to be sharing the stage with these incredible bands. we’re pulling together a setlist spanning the last 15+ years of music from our side too. syd/mel only for us but the bne lineup is killer also. These will be our only shows for 2025. hope to see you there?

it stars jessica, the sweetest angel rescued from the track, who loved kickons and listening to me play weird instrumental guitar music.
she passed away last november and I miss her a lot.

interrupting a very well earned social media break to say a big thank you to everyone who saw us somewhere in the world this year. huge thanks also to the wonderful bands we got to play with. means a lot to keep being able to do what we do - releasing records and playing noisy shows - after all these years, and most importantly of all getting to meet new people who have taken something meaningful out of our music. we hope you enjoyed the new record and we hope to play again for you soon. anyway this post probably won’t do very well cos it’s not a reel of me with a thumbnail where I’m pointing at something. so for now this is us signing out from 2024, 1 new record, 1 10th anniversary, 4 continents. much love ❤️
