The last day of #FaceEqualityWeek.
For me personally, face equality isn't really about faces.
It's about dignity. Belonging. Eye contact. Presence.
It's about creating a world where people don't feel they have to hide parts of themselves to feel accepted.
We're all more connected than ever, right — so why do I feel that so many more people are hiding?
The people society has overlooked, sidelined, or made to feel like they don't quite fit — many of them have quietly become wisdom keepers.
Not despite their experience. Because of it.
They've had to find their own way through. To flip what could have pushed people away into what draws them closer.
To stay open when every instinct said close.
Adversity isn't always a gift. But sometimes it forges something in people that comfort never could.
Think Before You Speak. And — who in your life has had to find another way? Have you ever asked them what they found?

It's Face Equality Week — and today I want to talk about identity.
We live in a world that teaches us to build identity from the outside in.
Appearance. Status. Performance.
Perception.
Most of us never question it — because we never have to.
Visible difference interrupts that system.
Maybe that's why many people who've been marginalised or made to feel 'other' can become incredibly grounded. They've had to build identity from somewhere deeper — somewhere appearance, status and perception couldn't reach.
Think Before You Speak. But also — think about what you're building your identity on.

It's Face Equality Week.
How quickly do we react to appearance?
Sometimes with curiosity.
Sometimes kindness.
Sometimes discomfort.
Sometimes with words we probably haven’t fully thought through.
"Think Before You Speak" isn't really about policing language.
It's about remembering there's a human being underneath whatever you noticed first.
Most of us know what it feels like to be judged too quickly for something.

Am I living a life I chose or one I drifted into? 👇
This was just one of the questions we discussed in this deep conversation on this weeks episode of the podcast, as the brilliant Marc Convey returns for the second time.
This is a deeply thoughtful, human conversation about healing, self-awareness, purpose, burnout, contentment, and the power of connection.
If you’ve ever felt disconnected from yourself, questioned the path you’re on, or wondered what real success actually looks like, this episode is for you.
This conversation came at the right time for me and one I really needed, more than I realised.
🎙️ Episode is NOW Live on all channels, comment ‘CONNECTION’ below and I’ll send you the link 🔗 to the episode directly
Thanks for listening 🙏

I nearly didn’t record this week’s episode of The Journal… 📙
It felt like nothing was moving.
Then a conversation with the inspirational Marc Convey shifted something..
Maybe it is okay to pause❓
Maybe it is okay to STOP!? 🛑
Maybe it is okay to just be? 🧘♂️
Maybe your presence is enough? 🙏
The question I have been sitting with this week is:
Do you sometimes need to stop in order to move forward?
And
What if pausing is where the real progress happens?
I know it maybe late on a Sunday night but would love to hear your thoughts?
Comment ‘PAUSE’ and I’ll send you a link 🔗 directly to this weeks full episode.

This week I sat still for a few hours while the incredibly talented and lovely @by5ebastian tried to capture something beyond the surface. It was a real honour to sit for him as I unlocked a new life experience.
Part of a beautiful project with @chatterbox_media , representing @changingfacesuk alongside @relightalopecia .
I can’t say much yet… but I’m excited for this one.
Not everything wants to be explained straight away.
I’m in Thailand writing The Gift of Adversity (working title) and resisting the urge to tidy it up as I go.
That feels familiar.
For a long time in my own life, I focused on presence, connection, and fun — and trusted meaning to arrive when it was ready.
And it did.
(Also: ice baths, because apparently that’s how I’m doing Christmas this year ❄️)
