Differences are beautiful❤️ We are not all born the same , How boring the world would be Being different is the best thing, Makes us a lot more free There are some that look different here and there Disabilities, should be treated equally With respect and care We may all struggle with looking Into the mirror Society wants us to be perfect And to be be normal Sometimes people may stare We try to tell Tell ourselves that we are Beautiful Regardless of our diagnosis All disabilities should be seen as beautiful and unique #photoshoot #photographer #photographers #photogenic #portrait #portraiture #portrait_vision #portrait_perfection #portrait_shots #portrait_ig #worldphotography #portraitofme #disability #disabilities #disabiltyawareness #visibledifference #changingfaces #faceequality #poem #differentisbeautiful #differentisok #youareenough

I feel being in a room with people who understand me makes me feel safe and and comfortable as there are people fighting for the same thing and want to be seen and recognised. 💛 In a recent survey 94% of respondents living with a visible difference said they lack confidence and self-esteem. Words can stay with people and they can hurt because everyone has feelings. Even just spreading a little kindness can create a special smile. 😀💛 Being part of the changing faces community helps me to feel valued and appreciated. Everyone with a visible difference should get the chance to be in the spotlight and to be who ever they want to be. People with visible differences have powerful stories to tell and it’s so important we listen to them. Comments have impact and this @faceequality alongside @changingfacesuk ,I’m asking you to think before you speak. 💛 #reel #thinkbeforeyouspeak #changingfaces #faceequality #visibledifference

It’s ok for a child to be curious about visible differences and they may ask questions. I love exploring and going outside because I have a passion for photography. A lot of the time I am always walking on my own and sometimes people will look and point because they are curious because they may of never seen me before. Talking about visible differences in family environments is so important for the children so they have a better understanding when they grow up. Changing faces are having a webinar call this month and they are going to be discussing about the impact of comments on social media and in person. @changingfacesuk 👈🏻 💛 @faceequalityint 👈🏻 💛 #reel #reelsinstagram #changingfaces #faceequality #thinkbeforeyouspeak

🌟C H A N G I N G F A C E S 🌟 Steps for change challenge 🚶 I have been doing the steps for change challenge for changing faces since the start of May , the first 10 days have been completed and I don’t have any reason to stop right now! I have always loved walking and I wanted to give back to the wonderful charity changing faces for all the incredible work they do in supporting people with visible differences and giving people a voice and a platform to share their stories and share experiences. The people I have connected with at changing faces has been special as I’ve listened to their stories and met some of them at events and been on podcasts. I hope to continue inspire people to keep going and to never give up on something you are passionate about, no matter what people say to try to bring you down, the most important thing to remember is that it says nothing about you , it doesn’t make you a bad person, it’s the lack of understanding and the lack of respect some people have. Some may say my face is weird when I post videos and photos on social media and to me I may look a bit different but I have an electric personality that will make you smile. People with visible differences will experience stares and some people might comment or laugh. Everyone with a visible difference deserves to be seen and heard, they shouldn’t be excluded and left behind. Remember to love yourself and live a little 🌟 If you would like to donate, there is a link in my bio to donate ❤️ #changingfaces #visibledifference #loveyourself #disability #stepsforchange

Online can be very good for sharing stories, raising awareness and sharing something you are passionate about but there is also another side to online. People can be jealous and try to bring you down because you are doing well. Always look on the bright side as there are always people who support you and make you feel better about yourself. #reel #reelsinstagram #sharethis #disability #changingfaces

Steps for change 🩷 I’m really happy about how the challenge is going so far , I love helping others and helping raise awareness for an amazing charity cause. Being able to put a smile on other people’s faces makes me smile as I know that it’s making a difference no matter how small or big. 🩷 The visible difference community is so important to me as everyone can come together, share ideas and help make the world a better place. Being part of changing faces has made me realise that I’m not alone and they have given me confidence to help others who may feel like they don’t have a voice. #reel #reelsinstagram #sharethis #disability #changingfaces
