TED TURNER / 1998 NYC
Ted said, "I don't like being photographed and I have very little time. How many frames are in your Hasselblad? I answered, 12. "Great, that's what you get". Ted then started to count each frame.
This is frame 9, where I stopped shooting and said, "We're done".
His office called me the next day to hire me to shoot the Time Inc. annual report.
DONNA TARTT / 2002. NYC
"You can look at a picture for a week and never think of it again. You can also look at a picture for a second and think of it all your life. I am nothing in my soul if not obsessive. For if the modern mind is whimsical and discursive, the classical mind is narrow, unhesitating, relentless."
