Mae ail ran cyfres beside/gerllaw, gan Lowri Hedd Vaughan, ar gael i’w ddarllen nawr ar ein gwefan! Dolen yn y bio 🔗
Cyfres o saith comisiwn sgwennu yw beside/gerllaw, wedi’i greu gyda Testun testun yn rhan o Artes Mundi 11.
Dilyniant o gerddi tyner – sy’n symud yn gelfydd rhwng y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg, ffurfiau barddonol a rhyddiaethol, a lleisiau person-cyntaf a chasglebol – gan Lowri Hedd Vaughan yw’r ail gomisiwn yng nghyfres beside/gerllaw. Fel rhywun â diddordeb brwd mewn dwr fel deunydd creadigol-farddonol, sydd â’r gallu i’n gwreiddio mewn lle ac i’n cymryd i oesoedd a lleoliadau eraill, cafodd ei hysgogi gan waith hir-dymor yr artist Jumana Emil Abboud, sy’n dangos corff o waith yn Mostyn, Llandudno, a’r Amgueddfa Genedlaethol yng Nghaerdydd, yn rhan o Artes Mundi 11.

The second commissioned text for beside/gerllaw, by Lowri Hedd Vaughan, is now available to read on our website! Link in bio 🔗
beside/gerllaw is a seven-part writing series created in partnership with Testun testun for Artes Mundi 11.
A sequence of poems by Lowri Hedd Vaughan is the second instalment of beside/gerllaw. Artfully oscillating between Cymraeg/Welsh and English, between prose and lyric, and between first-person and collective address, the writer responds to the practice of Jumana Emil Abboud, who is showing a body of work in Mostyn, Llandudno, and Amgueddfa Cymru, Cardiff, as part of Artes Mundi 11. These artists share a deep-rooted fascination with water – as resource, as material, as political substance – and an investment in its capacity to both ground us in place and transport us to other temporal and geographical contexts.
@testun_testun ’s programmes are convened by artist-writer Dylan Huw. This new independent platform champions expanded art writing practices in Wales.
