HAKEEM. I still remember back in 2019 when my best mate, James Topley, dragged me down to this small gig at the 100 Club in Soho. He said, “You have to come hear this guy, Hak Baker!” From that moment, James and Ivo Beckett (DEADHORSES), dove headfirst into capturing Hak’s story, filming him for five years and filling over 500 hours of DV cam footage. Hak, thank you for believing in our vision and letting us be part of your journey. It’s been a ride! As a producer, projects like this are the reason you fall in love with this industry - it’s what gets you out of bed in the morning. There are no words to express how grateful I am to everyone who worked on this film. A huge thank you to the post-production teams who gave six months of their lives to bring this all together: Claire, Patch, Becks, Amber, Maruf, Dan - you’ve been incredible! HOLLOWAY. Excited to share that I’m a producer on Sophie Compton and Daisy-May Hudson’s feature documentary Holloway, which will have its world premiere next month in competition at the 2024 BFI London Film Festival on October 11th. Led by a courageous all-female creative team, this film is one not to miss! Both screenings sold out almost immediately, and the BFI has added an extra screening on October 20th at 5:30 pm!
