“Beyond This Atmosphere (II)” - an elevated world where our character is cast into her own dreams. Only through letting go does she come to embrace and control the world around her.
So many ideas I wanted to revisit in this piece. Specifically the 3D elements and the play on light and contrast (day/night) : such an incredible crew, great vibes on set, and new ideas for the next one.

Still can’t get over how fun these setups were to concept. Especially our 180 degree rig shot on the Dana. Huge shoutout to the crew for lighting with precision for every VFX plate and reflection. Made this world come alive in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Spent the evening testing the @arri Signature Primes vs Zooms at sunset and blue hour. Shot on the ALEXA 35 open gate 4:3 using the 47mm, 75mm, and 45-135mm. We ran through bokeh, low-light, and focus breathing tests. Honestly surprised how close the results were between the primes and the zoom.
