Last weekend I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and we found out we would be getting induced on July 2nd at 37 weeks. After a complicated labor and delivery we welcomed our little boy into the world on July 3rd at 6:33pm. The next day our sweet boy was transferred to the NICU because of low blood sugars. After a long, but promising night in the NICU, we get to finally take him home today. We are so proud of Grayson’s quick progress.

Pregnancy has been one of the wildest, most emotional experiences of my life. It’s stretched me physically, mentally, and in ways I didn’t expect. Some days I’ve felt powerful. Other days I’ve felt completely overwhelmed. I’ve cried for no reason, laughed at the smallest things, and had more late-night cereal than I’d like to admit. Watching my body change into someone I don’t always recognize has been one of the hardest things, but this little boy has made it all worth it. Every kick, every sleepless night, every moment of doubt—he’s been the reminder of why I keep going. It’s crazy to think this chapter is almost over. I’m soaking up what’s left of these final weeks, one day at a time, and I can’t wait to bring him into this world. I love you so much already!
