Do you have what it takes to survive the TAKE48 48-hour filmmaking challenge?? 🎬 1. Delusional Optimism (The Good Kind) You need the kind of bold confidence that says, “Yeah, I can totally make a film from scratch in just two days in my friends’ backyard with a wonky tripod and a plastic dinosaur.” It’s that beautiful blend of ambition that births some of the greatest TAKE48 creations. 🔋 2. Chargers, Batteries, and a few Prayers Your camera battery will die right before the perfect take. Your SD card will fill up mid-shot. You will forget a charger. Bring extras of everything, and maybe light a candle to the tech gods. 🍕 3. Snacks > Sanity You will likely start to transform into a film gremlin. To avoid complete gremlinification, arm yourself in advance with plenty of snacks and drinks. 🎭 4. A Plan (That You’ll Abandon by Hour 5) Start strong with a colour coded schedule. You probably won’t stick to it. Adapt. Overcome. Cry a little. Keep rolling. 💻 5. An Editor Who Doesn’t Fear Death Your editor will be the last line of defense against awkward cuts, missing audio, and your entire team’s hopes and dreams. Be nice to them. Or bring them snacks. TAKE48 2026 BONUS THEME   With preparations for the 2026 challenge well underway, we figured it was about time to give you a bit of a teaser regarding this year’s bonus theme. Every year, all TAKE48 films have to include a theme, which is made up of a mystery item, line of dialogue and an additional bonus theme. The 2026 bonus theme will be a LIGHTING TECHNIQUE💡 This year’s bonus theme will focus on a specific lighting technique, and all films must include at least one instance of this technique. The specific technique will be revealed, alongside the other theme elements, when the challenge kicks off.   What do you think it will be?? _______________ Registrations for the 2026 TAKE48 Challenge will be opening shortly, so it’s nearly time to start wrangling the troops and getting your crew together!
