Light long weekend cooking.
Tuna Crudo with apple, chillies and buttermilk/yuzu dressing
Clams with homemade pasta, peas, garlic, chilli, white wine and dill
Bread with burnt anchovy butter
Lamb shanks stuffed with smoked leek and pine nuts.
Pea, mint, yoghurt and feta puree.
Lamb shank and béchamel croquette.
Snow pea sprouts, mint and lemon salad.
Lamb jus.
The things I dream up at 4am.
It’s hard to put into words how much joy I’ve felt over the past two weeks celebrating the WA film industry at the WA Made Film Festival.
I’ll let these two photos say it all. What a team! Jasmine and I couldn’t do it without you.

What an experience! Two hours, nine plates over six courses, the best Martini I’ve ever had, and views for days. Bonito, crocodile, coral trout, lamb, and so much more, all in one sitting. Get there!
Is Ethan’s chair officially up for grabs? 🪑😱 We had Matt Eeles (@CinemaAustralia ) in the studio tonight and the man is an absolute pro. Sorry Ethan, but the people might have a new favorite.
Matt is the founder of Cinema Australia and the director of the @WAMadeFilmFestival —a guy with a massive heart for local stories who’s spent years grinding in the "unprofessional" indie scene.
We didn't go easy on him, though. We put him well and truly on the spot for his definitive top list of Australian movies (the arguments were heated 🍿) and we tried to get the inside word on WA’s new $300M "White Elephant" film studio in Malaga. 📽️🏃♂️
Inside the episode:
✅ Matt’s "Mount Rushmore" of Aussie actors
✅ Why WA filmmakers are built different
✅ Is the Malaga studio just a fancy place to film Spudshed ads?
✅ Ethan’s potential career change.
