Batman Beyond has always been my Batman.
I grew up with the Tim Burton films, and like everyone else I loved Batman: The Animated Series — but there was something different about Terry McGinnis taking up the mantle. An aging Bruce Wayne, Gotham transformed into a neon-lit future, and a successor who wasn’t another Robin trying to live in Bruce’s shadow. It felt new while still carrying the weight of everything that came before it.
I was lucky enough to acquire the new Batman Beyond figure by Light Custom (@lightcustom_wz ), purchased through @tom.the.builder . I missed out on the official Terry and Bruce figures, but honestly I think my custom versions fit the atmosphere perfectly. I also put together a Joker inspired by his Batman Beyond appearance to round out the lineup.
Hope you enjoy these shots — as well as the direction my account seems to be heading lately. I’ve found myself leaning away from the heavier Hyperborea storytelling and more toward revisiting the pop culture worlds and childhood favorites that originally inspired me to start creating in the first place.
Hope you enjoy the photos.

Happy May the 4th ⚔️✨
For the next chapter in this fantasy reimagining of the prequels, we move onto Attack of the Clones.
Senator Amidala’s wagon is bombed upon arrival, though the true senator survives by disguising herself as a royal guard. Her handmaiden is not so fortunate.
In the aftermath, the Master Jedi Wizards meet with Palpatine, and Wizard Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin are assigned to protect her. When Padmé and Anakin reconnect after years apart, it becomes clear that Anakin is still just as smitten as ever.
While Anakin and Padmé go into hiding, and enjoy frolicking in the fields, Wizard Master Kenobi has the worst day as he uncovers the existence of a clone knight army and clashes with the bounty hunter Jango Fett, armed with his deadly twin crossbows.
Feelings deepen, tensions rise, and Padmé chooses perhaps the worst outfit imaginable to break up with someone.
Soon, all paths lead to Geonosis, where chaos erupts. Kenobi fends off a dragon, Padmé escapes a displacer beast, and Anakin grabs a chain and takes a ride on an ogre.
When all hope seems lost and the heroes are surrounded by skeletal droids, the Jedi Wizards arrive to make their stand - only for the newly revealed clone knights to charge into battle and turn the tide.
At the heart of it all, Kenobi and Anakin confront the dark wizard Dooku in a duel that sets the future into motion.
And with that… the Clone Knight Wars have begun.

This post is my May the 4th / Star Wars Day follow-up to my previous Episode I fantasy crossover, and part of the larger series I’m building between this account and @lightsaber.bricks . As with the rest of this series, the biggest inspiration comes from @bb_bricks03 , whose work has done an incredible job pioneering the blend of medieval fantasy and Star Wars.

Not done with Dragon Ball yet - here’s some scenes based on the original Dragon Ball featuring Goku & Krillin as kids.
Also included in today’s post are “We see the fit Picollo” and “Hello Sun Wukong from Journey to the West. Hello Goku from Dragon Ball Z”.
Okay well that’s likely the end of my DBZ posting. Who knows what’s next, I sure don’t.

The Dragon Ball block continues on Sword Brocks Toonami.
The ability to become a Super Saiyan was once considered to be nothing but a legend, as it had not been performed for over one thousand years.
Goku achieved the form out of anger over the murder of his best friend Krillin, while Vegeta achieves the form through sheer frustration at his original inability to achieve it, especially when Goku already had.

Growing up, like a lot of you fellow millennials, Dragon Ball Z was a cornerstone of the after school cartoon block. I recently revisited it and man… I forgot just how good it is. (Dragon Ball Z Kai especially).
That rewatch sent me down a rabbit hole from Goku to Sun Wukong, and somehow landed me deep into a Monkie Kid phase. Those sets are seriously slept on.
Anyways, here is the Z Team - Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, Krillin, Master Roshi, and Vegeta. Also included is the main villain of the first saga - Frieza.
The Exo-Force heads were clutch for getting that anime look across the lineup, and I’m looking forward to seeing @Lego official DBZ set when it drops.
Might keep expanding this roster, let me know how you like these and who I should build next.

Starfall: Crown of the Void
In the starless void where reality thins, three ancient beings stood sealed within breathing machines, their bodies sustained by hissing exosuits that pulsed with artificial life. At their center, the leader turned, its face a sphere of swirling blue gas with two red eyes burning inside.
Today was the coronation of the Galactic Princess, the moment they would tear open the seams of existence. With a silent command, they sent their avatars, each one a living extension of their will, through fractures in space.
Far away, beneath banners and starlight, the Grand Citadel erupted into chaos as one of these avatars descended upon the ceremony. Kaelor Vantrex, clad in a radiant yellow cape, moved instantly, his solar blade igniting as his insectoid war-construct sprang to his side. Together they held the line long enough to pull Princess Elyra Voss from the slaughter, fleeing aboard her royal cruiser while the sky above her kingdom burned under orbital fire.
Their escape did not last. The cruiser tore through unstable space before crashing onto a dark, forested world where twisted trees choked out the light. As Vantrex and his construct raised their weapons at movement in the brush, a small, furry goblin emerged, chittering and curious, then cleared its throat and spoke in a deep, composed voice, offering help. Before he could explain, three armored bounty hunters stepped from the shadows, weapons trained in a precise formation.
The standoff held for a breath until the lead hunter lifted his visor, recognized the princess, and dropped to one knee, admitting they had taken the contract without knowing the target. He offered their protection and a way off-world, but Elyra refused. With her kingdom in ruins and the truth of the attack settling in, she chose to track down the cult and stop it before it could strike again.

Spawn - once Al Simmons, an elite black-ops operative betrayed and murdered, reborn through a pact with hell. A Hellspawn bound in Necroplasm armor, wielding chains, shadows, and weapons in an endless war between heaven and hell—caught in the middle, but answering to neither.
-
I’ve been a fan ever since I watched Spawn (1997) way too young. That mix of horror, anti-hero grit, and raw style stuck with me and never left.
This is my take on the character, leaning into the shadows, the contrast, and that iconic presence. Enjoy this interpretation.

Happy Easter!
Beware of the Easter eggs, some might just hatch a surprise for you!

A repost? From last year? Me?
It’s more likely than you think. Maybe next year I’ll have more time!

After much consideration, I’ve decided to pivot the focus of this account. From now on, instead of custom minifigs, I’ll be doing full set reviews.
Huge thanks to @lego for sending over an early preview of set 181815 The Remains of Paradisa.
This exciting new release features the long-awaited return of the classic Paradisa surfer guy… though it looks like he may have been left in the box a little too long.
The set contains 7 pieces, and retails for $99.99. A real bargain in today’s economy. Any real AFOL will be sure to buy this set on day one.
Stay tuned for more in-depth reviews of Lego sets that LEGO definitely mailed me personally.
Happy April Fools.

In the years following Order 66, the Galactic Empire hunted for survivors of the fallen Jedi Order. Most operations were carried out by inquisitors, but in the darker corners of the galaxy, the Empire deployed something more fierce.
Clone Shadow Trooper CT-9147 was one of those instruments.
Once a loyal soldier of the Republic, 9147 had fought beside a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. When the order came declaring the Jedi traitors to the galaxy, he did not hesitate. Good soldiers followed orders.
Rumors had reached Imperial command that agents of the secret network known as the Hidden Path were moving through the city, guiding fugitive Jedi, force-sensitives, and other enemies of the Empire to safety. Such a trail required a hunter.
9147 rode into the city center mounted on a rare predator, a Tythonian Reptile, evolved to sense disturbances in the Force itself. The beast was sleek, black-scaled, and viciously intelligent.
Twin plasma cannons were mounted along its flanks, while a hardened combat saddle locked the rider into place during high-speed pursuit.
The trooper carried his own weapon of choice: a massive vibro-axe, capable of cleaving armor, bone, or lightsaber-deflecting cortosis plating. Between the axe, the reptile’s jaws, and the mounted cannons, few targets survived long enough to escape.
At first the bond between rider and mount was little more than control and obedience. The reptile obeyed because it was trained to. The clone rode because it was ordered to.
But over time something else formed.
The trooper would sometimes rest a gloved hand against the creature’s neck plating before a hunt. The reptile’s red eyes would narrow, sensing the faint echoes of the Force lingering somewhere in the city streets.
As 9147 once muttered through the static of his helmet comms:
“Neither of us has any say in our future anymore.”

In space…. No one can hear you scream.
From one of my first LEGO sets in 1999 straight into the jaws of the ultimate sci-fi nightmare… meet my Xenomorph custom fig, the love-child of Ridley Scott’s Alien, the classic UFO theme, and the entire LEGO minifigure community.
This build is literally my entire LEGO story in one figure:
• Helmet: the original UFO minifig head from that $2.99 Shell Gas Station promo set, one of the single oldest piece I still own and one that was the center of every storyline.
• Arms connected to the torso: @sobek_bricks legendary horn-piece connection trick.
• Tail: coiled and deadly adapted from a design by @foolsfigures
• Countless late-night DMs, tweaks, and “try this” moments from @red.impala that helped me improve my craft like no other.
This Xenomorph is my testament to the Lego Minifig community, and proof that every set, every technique, and every friend you make along the way adds up to something bigger.
Thank you to every single builder who’s inspired, taught, or pushed me.
