This amazing machine is know as JetBlue. A 1972 C10 owned by my Thai brother @jettila . We share a passion for cars and food, which is why I’m super excited to join forces on a new project. Stick around….it’s about to get spicy. (Had to throw in a dad pun,haha)
I put maybe 200 miles on this car in the past year. I start it everyday just to move 20 feet in and out of the shop. Not doing that anymore. I’m determined to get out and drive. But first, a little more boost. Started at 400 on 91 pump, ended the night at 630 on e85. There’s more in it but, that’s good enough to start working on the fun stuff. Launch control, traction control and flat shifts.
Took the NSX out to the @hemmingsmotorclub Paso Robles rally this weekend. Such a good time driving some amazing roads and hanging out with friends. Thanks @mike_musto and the @hemmings crew for putting on such a great event. Looking foward to the next one.
Tried to make a video of the integra and it didn’t go well. First we ran out of gas, then the exhaust decided to grind itself away on the rear driveshaft. The rubbing noise inside the car was deafening, but we pushed on and drove the car. Then the other side axle hit the gas tank fill neck, causing a pretty good fuel leak. Got it back to the shop, up on a lift, made another exhaust and fixed the gas tank. At least @jollytsunami and I good laugh about it. #awdarmy #b18c #neverendingproject
Our @ticonindustries , @stainless_bros and @alucon_metals shipment has arrived and we are full speed ahead making intakes and exhaust. We try not to waste any material so @grimmbbussin used some of the cutoffs to make a catch can, while I started building a stainless x pipe for an exhaust on a C10. We also have a titanium project that is super cool, but I’ll save that for another post.
This day five years ago, my wife and I jumped into my landcruiser and drove west. Tired of the cold NY winters and the prospect of year round warmth was very enticing. Also had a great opportunity to try something different. So here we are 5 years later, it has not sucked.
I’ve spent so much time thinking about and building this car. Now that it’s done, not really sure whats next . Maybe some drag and drive events, maybe some track days, maybe some no-prep races, or maybe sell it and build something else? Looking for some ideas, also taking offers.
It’s been a wild 30 days. We took a Dodge hornet and turned it into a drag car. Took out the 4cly and put @dodgeofficial Hurracrate engine mated to a Demon 8speed transmission. Not only did we stuff in the new drivetrain, we also engineered a 4 link suspension with a solid 9inch rear, a roll cage, custom trans tunnel and a ton of other parts made. OH DAMN!! We got the band back together. The @hemmings mission? Take one Hurricrate twin-turbo Incline-6, a bombproof 8-speed transmission, and stuff into the world’s only wide body Dodge Hornet to go drag racing on Woodward Ave. in August at Roadkill Nights.
