For too many in our community, fear and uncertainty have become part of daily life. @sbsupervisorroylee and I crafted a proposal to protect our public spaces, safeguard our elections, and ensure local voices shape local decisions.

A very happy birthday to my constituent Stan Clothier whose 105 years reflect a legacy of resilience, service, and innovation - from his humble beginnings in a log cabin to his distinguished service in the Navy during World War II…and much more. He’s built a life rich in adventure, community, lasting impact, and adoring friends and family. It’s an honor to have Stan as a thriving member of the Santa Barbara County community and celebrate this milestone with him! 🎉
Tax Day is around the corner! Santa Barbara County is so fortunate to have organizations like @unitedwaysb . Their dedicated volunteers help families file their taxes safely and for free, ensuring our community can access all the credits and refunds they deserve, like the Earned Income Tax Credit. @caleitc4me
Week after week, our county experiences real trauma from inhumane and unjust federal immigration enforcement. This report provides a much clearer picture of the far greater scale of ICE activity at our jails and in our community than the information the Sheriff’s Office is required by law to report. I’m alarmed by the findings and requested more information from the Sheriff’s Office. When so many are living with fear and uncertainty, the public deserves clear, comprehensive, and transparent information.
