Based in historic Maplewood, NJ, Sarah brings one of the most distinctive creative journeys in the design world — from studying Fine Art & Interior Design at James Madison University and living abroad in Vienna, Austria, to a near 20-year career in the New York City fashion world, including 13 years with Ralph Lauren where she led luxury apparel development and honed her signature color expertise. That layered background — fine art, fashion, textiles, and a deep love of European design history — is exactly what makes her interiors so compelling. Launched in 2021, Styled by Storms is rooted in traditional principles but full of personality: strong color moments, playful animals, and a slight irreverence that sparks joy in every room. Introducing Coastal Collector of the Golden Isles. A once-vacation home reimagined for full-time living, rooted in memory, craftsmanship, and layered design. After a decade as a coastal retreat on St. Simons Island, this home evolved into a 7,200-square-foot family residence designed for everyday rhythm and long stays. A 4,000-square-foot addition created a great room, sunroom, art studio, garden room, guest suite, and spaces meant to gather, linger, and live. The vision was never a traditional beach house. Instead, the design blends organic nods to coastal towns with colonial and heritage influences found in New England and British coastal communities. The guiding idea became what we like to call “Ralph Lauren Goes to Summer Camp.” Classic, collected, and full of character. From vaulted ceilings crafted to feel warm and inviting to a great room layered in pattern, texture, and moody depth, every decision was guided by connection, comfort, and personal history.
