đ Exciting News! đ
As a true @ted fan (there were times when I've binge-watched TED talks) I am trilled to be part of the upcoming @tedxberlin Salon on #circulareconomy #notimetowaste. I'll share my view on circularity architecture and design and how we can bring this towards a more sustainable future.
TEDxBerlin Salon - "Our future in a circular economy - No Time to Waste "! đď¸
At Studio De Schutter, we always champion sustainable lighting. Our approach stems from a respect for nature and the environment, as well as protecting and reusing what is existing. âťď¸
Join me on the 11th and 12th of April where I will share my insights and ideas on circularity in construction, architecture and lighting design. See you there! đ

âIt should be sustainable, but not look eco.â
With this challenge, the client approached @studiodeschutter for The Loop, the Ahrend x Office Group showroom in DĂźsseldorf.
@sabinedeschutter and her team developed a concept that transforms existing luminaires to create a warm, high-quality lighting atmosphere.
The result is a mix of new, reused and converted luminaires, allowing the space to shift from workplace to event setting.
Where circular thinking meets corporate identity.

How can existing luminaires be meaningfully reused without compromising on design, lighting quality, or atmosphere?
For The Loop, the Ahrend x Office Group showroom in DĂźsseldorf, @studiodeschutter developed a concept that transforms existing luminaires, conserves resources, and creates a modern showroom suitable for versatile use.
Lighting plays a key role in this concept, enabling changes in mood at the push of a button and transforming spaces from workplaces into event locations.
Instead of using energy-intensive powder coating for color adaptation, foil wrapping was developed as a new strategy. An in-house-developed and unique solution that saves significant amounts of energy and is fully reversible.
The project followed a clear methodology: first reduce, then reuse, and only renew where it is truly necessary.

Celebrating 10 years of @studiodeschutter
Founded in Berlin by @sabinedeschutter , the studio has spent the past decade exploring how light shapes atmosphere, perception and spatial experience.
From early public interventions like MELO, to experimental work such as YPOV - later featured in the book Women Light Artists - their projects have consistently moved between architecture, art and research.
Heritage work at @burgvischering refined their integrated, detail-oriented approach, while international Winter Cities workshops expanded their thinking around lighting for public space, safety and climate-responsible design.
In 2022, the team grew when @virkamdaitayvrama joined, opening a new chapter in prototyping and product development - including the lighting object Celia, shown in Milan.
We bring together a curated mix of early projects, public installations, object-scale lighting and moments from their practice that have shaped their journey so far.

Link in bio : Sustainability and flexibility as guiding principles: lighting design by Studio De Schutter at the Coreum Hotel
Since its opening two years ago, the Coreum Hotel in Stockstadt am Rhein has been setting new standards in sustainable architectural lighting design combining innovation with environmental awareness. The Berlin-based lighting designers from Studio De Schutter have created a lighting concept that impressively emphasises the striking architecture of the hotel and at the same time impresses with forward-looking, resource-saving solutions. #lighting #forwardlooking #sustainabilty #impressively #striking #architechture #concept #solutions #resourcesaving #flexibility #hotel #hotels #hospitality
Based between Berlin and Antwerp, @studiodeschutter creates lighting thatâs immersive, intentional, and deeply human. Founded by Sabine De Schutter, the studio believes that light shapes how we feel, move, and connectâmaking well-being and perception central to every project. Their work spans custom solutions for architects, developers, and private clients, and is guided by two pillars: sustainability and climate neutrality.
AI tools and parametric design support the processâbut never replace the creative mind behind it. As Sabine says: âTheyâre here to ease the repetitive, not to replace what makes us human.â

#REPOST @framemagazine
Developed by @studio_aisslinger , @lebigtamtam in Hamburg's Hanse District offers an experience-led spin on a typical food court experience.â Our lighting scheme follows exactly this vision.
â
Bright colours and bold patterns, bold lighting đ and layered across various surfaces and textures, evoke the lively spirit of a funfair across the 1,700-sq-m food court, which is located in Hamburgâs heritage-listed mall Hanseviertel at GroĂe Bleichen. In addition to its dining options, the space also features the townâs smallest bar â perched 14 m-high in a copper capsule â an artisan bakery, stage for live performances and versatile events area.
