We are excited to share our new image film that takes you inside our new Berlin studio - offering a glimpse into our new work environment at the Flussbad Campus and reflects our approach to spatial storytelling through design. We see spaces as cultural connectors, places where local narratives and global communities meet. When design responds to its context, it does more than shape an environment; it creates opportunities for people to link their own stories with one another and with the place itself. In addition to our work highlights from the past two decades the film illustrates how our design vision shapes future societies. From material innovations to new typologies in hospitality new work and retail, we push the boundaries of design together with our global team and partners. The Soft Cell™ collection by Werner Aisslinger (1999) is a limited edition of seating furniture which was groundbreaking because it was the first ever use of Technogel in the furniture market. The formal concept was to do a project which displays the same self-evidence as @nike high-tech sneakers, such as the Air Max and Shox, and the idea of transforming the gel from medical applications into the furniture world was unprecedented. The combination of the specially developed gel pads produced with a transparent spherical base plate gives the furniture of Soft Cell a complete transparency. The gel pads are fixed to a fiberglass frame which rests on a simple steel frame. The bases are in plain black and white finish, the gel pads in yellow, green and blue. Most famously, the ’90s style icon Brad Pitt was among the first buyers. Today the lounge chair is part of the @vitradesignmuseum permanent collection.

Every place already holds a story. We listen closely to its context, its fragments and its quiet details, and translate small inspirations into spatial narratives that feel precise, human and deeply rooted.

Following Stockholm (2017) and Helsinki (2024), we are proud to announce our third HOBO Hotel in Oslo @hobooslo . Rooted in the same design philosophy as the original in Sweden, the Oslo edition introduces a distinctly Norwegian spirit and infuses it with an “Architecture of Optimism,” inspired by the collective idealism of the utopian communes of the 1960s. Creative functionalism remains at the core of HOBO’s identity, and in Oslo. Therefore we embraced a “city-mining” approach aimed at reusing and preserving elements of the original buildings wherever possible. Local and sustainable materials such as Nordic natural stone, terrazzo, regional woods, and brick are paired with salvaged features including timber beams, window frames, and historic brick walls. Together, these elements are seamlessly woven into HOBO’s new design language, creating a compelling dialogue between heritage and contemporary expression.

The legendary @25hourshotelbikiniberlin reopens — redesigned by @studio_aisslinger . A bold new chapter unfolds with a series of newly imagined spaces that blend comfort, creativity, and Berlin edge: • The Nomad Bar A transformable social hub with rotating shelf panels — bakery by day, aperitivo bar by night. • The Brick Lounge A raw, tactile coworking and reading area built from hand-laid brick on the urban-facing side. • The Rattan Jungle An organic seating landscape with sculptural rattan forms and hammock zones overlooking the Berlin Zoo. • The Bikini Lounge A reconfigurable sofa landscape designed in collaboration with @morosofficial — inviting coworking, lounging, and spontaneous encounters. • The New Suites Fully redesigned rooms on all levels, with each bed turned toward the view and open-plan layouts for a seamless spatial flow. • The Conversation Pit A round alcove lounge designed for reading, resting, and intimate movie nights in plush, sunken comfort. • The Open Bathrooms Integrated bathrooms that dissolve boundaries between private and shared — open, light-filled, and fluid.

In 2022, we developed a holistic visual identity and wayfinding system for Arona — a new dental brand and Institute for Vitality and Aesthetics. Blending innovation and precision with warmth and care, the design reimagines what a contemporary dental clinic can feel like.

Werner Aisslinger’s work proves that powerful design lies not in the minute details, but in their behavior within a complex whole. Known as a trendsetter in spatial design and experience architecture, Aisslinger brings a modular sensibility to his collaboration with Porro, which began in 1994 with the Endless Shelf. Now raised on feet, the iconic modular bookcase is reintroduced to our 2025 collection with a new, refined finish. A system of infinite possibility. #PorroNewYork #Porro #WernerAisslinger #StudioAisslinger #DesignerSpotlight
