Handbuilding Workshop: Mushroom Pinch Pot Jar 📅 May 15, 2026 🕛 6:00–8:00 pm 📍 Studio C, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd, Columbus, IN In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will learn basic handbuilding techniques to create pinch pot mushroom jars. Participants will design the shape and add surface details to their mushrooms, and then will select their desired glaze from Studio C’s glaze options. This all-inclusive workshop is hosted by Studio C’s artist-in-resident, Abigail Moses. Our workshops are recommended for anyone who would like to learn basic ceramic skills. If you have no experience with ceramics, this is the best place to start. ✨ Studio C Handbuilding Workshop: Trinket Tray 📅 May 1, 2026 🕛 6:00–8:00 pm 📍 4760 Ray Boll Blvd, Columbus, IN (Columbus Propeller campus) 🎟️ $50 In this beginner-friendly handbuilding workshop, students will learn simple handbuilding techniques to create custom trinket dishes. Pieces can be glazed by the studio in a student’s desired finish, or left unglazed for a rustic, organic finish (only glazed items will be food-safe). This all-inclusive workshop is hosted by Studio C’s artist-in-residence, Abigail Moses, and local artist Elena Leddy. ✨ Meet our Artist-In-Residence and Studio Manager @jostarrmo - Abigail Moses (she/they) is an artist and art facilitator based in their hometown of Columbus, Indiana. Abby has experience in multiple mediums from painting and printmaking to sculpture, but now has a special focus on ceramics as the Resident Artist and Studio Manager at Studio C. Having taught classes and exhibited art across central and southern Indiana, one of the core focuses of their work is empowering people through connection and creative expression. Abby’s artwork focuses on natural patterns and symbiotic relationships, emphasizing the often-overlooked beauty, interconnectedness, and queerness of life. ✨ Welcome to Studio C, a community ceramics studio built for hands-on creativity and shared learning. For years, you have asked for access to ceramics, and Studio C is our answer! This is a welcoming, fully equipped ceramic studio where you can take a class, work independently, or dig into clay for the very first time. An initiative of the Columbus Area Arts Council, Studio C will offer artist-led workshops, host artists in residence, and allow access to wheels, kilns, tools, and other materials. The space is designed to welcome all skill levels.
