With the lightās return and spring waiting around the corner, Iām coming alive again⦠but Iāll admit, I actually like winter. These pics were from after the big snow storm at the end of January, which Iām a bit nostalgic for. I like when itās quiet and clean and slow⦠but thank God the light is finally returning.

This has been consuming my thoughts lately. The only way weāre going to have a better world is to CREATE it, and that requires courageously releasing the shame + fear that stands in the way of our honest expression. Art is a technology to help you uncover your truest self and help others do the same. We have to face ourselves if we are going to get to the other side of this BS. The revolution starts in your heart. Now is the time to embrace the love that awaits you on the other side of fear.
I am learning how to do that. Iām learning how to let myself be imperfect and forgive myself for it, to rewrite the programming that keeps me small, stressed, and quiet. I am learning how to let myself bloom and that its very important to do so, so that I can help others do the same.
Love will always win over fear and fascism, but we have to deal with the putrid rot of our collective shame, grief, and fear. We must rewrite our story, and lean into who we know ourselves to be. It starts with you and with us.

WIPā almost done š Trying to make more and share more! Self expression feels hard sometimes but is very needed. What do you want to see more of from me?
A few years ago I was on a roll making and posting art but I fell off that pattern due to life changes and want to cultivate it again. Let me know what resonates with you and what you enjoy viewing and Iāll do my best do share more of it! š sending yāall love.

Being raised in dogmatic religion gave me a strong sense of fear, guilt, and shame which pervaded my self esteem and ability to live authentically. Itās been a large part of my work as an artist to release this conditioning and work through the grief of living in such a deeply corrupt world.
I often censor myself because I fear scrutiny from people who donāt want to understand⦠which limits my light from reaching those who truly need it. But Iām beginning to realize my role in dismantling our deeply corrupt system involves healing myself, sharing my vision, and spreading inspiration to uplift others like me. If anything I share resonates with you, Iām grateful for the connection.
This piece holds self-forgiveness. I may never be right in some peopleās eyes but at least Iām doing my best to be honest and real. I know love in a way that would have never been possible previously. I gave myself permission to be the thing people didnāt want me to be (myself) and itās the best thing that ever happened to me.
Every day I discover myself more and more through my life, my connections, my studies, and my practices. Itās a privilege to be able to write about this, and I lament that Iāve not shared my gifts more. I hope you give yourself permission to use your gifts and live as fully as you are called to, free of fear, guilt, and shame.
Eat Your Holy Life! Donāt wait. Free yourself from your self-imposed limits and learn how to love yourself again. The world depends on it!
In doing so, we retrain our nervous systems and step towards a future full of harmony, beauty, connection, reciprocity, and self-actualization. Change starts withinā it starts with you giving yourself the grace to try again as many times as you need to release the pain that prevents you from loving yourself.
Iām so proud of you and Iām so proud of me š thanks for tuning in.
To see the creation of this piece and the installation of the exhibition I showed it in, go to my profile (2 posts before this one). I donāt usually make work like this, but Iām letting my creativity explore š„° more to come!

I created these pretty babies for the ā50/50, A Community Art Projectā exhibition opening, which I had the pleasure of helping install š Over the course of November I helped @artsincolumbus uninstall their previous show āReverberations Foreverā and prepare the @411gallery for the ā50/50ā exhibition, which showcases 50 works made on a 4x4ā panels by local artists as a fundraiser for the Columbus Area Arts Council.
I was chosen as a featured artist to expand the possibilities of what could be made with the panel, and I used it as a base for these sculpted fish. Swipe to go back in time through the process of creating this artwork, installing the show, preparing the gallery with some fresh paint and repairs, packing artwork, and the overall evolution from the previous show. I had a lot of fun!
It was a treat to get to see such a diverse range of creativity from local artists up close. I love what I do and I love working with other creative people! If you havenāt seen the show yet, itās up until January 16th š
Also I spent all month preparing for this show and then forgot to get any pics of me and my piece or ANYTHING AT the exhibition reception š¤¦āāļø I feel so silly! Anywaysā enjoy the deviation from the norm! Ive been itching to sculpt fish for a while š
This piece is called āEat Your Holy Lifeā. Made with paper mache clay, cardboard, tin foil, spackle, acrylic, ribbon, beads, string, shrink plastic, sequins, and glue.

Iāve been making art again and it feels goodā¦. And Iām trying to share more freely again too. I tend to censor myself for fear of disappointing or upsetting people, but Iām learning to be okay with not being everyoneās cup of tea. Iām terribly sensitive and wish it wasnāt that way, but I feel a duty and conviction to express myself creatively and share my ideas so that others might be able and inspired to do the same. Lifeās too short to live for other peopleās approval.
Itās okay to be wrong, to be cringe, to not live up to peopleās expectations of youā¦. Itās okay to grow and to outgrow people and ideasā I think thatās kinda the whole point, isnāt it? To search for the highest expression of truth, love, and understanding? To become acquainted with the depths of yourself and your life, allow yourself to make mistakes, and to grow from it?
We donāt have a large capacity for discomfort or nuance in our society. But Iām learning that theyāre incredibly important to be able to grow beyond the shitshow weāve got going on. Iāll never be perfect but I hope to be as true and honest as I can be.
Sending you all love! A better world is possible! Love yourselves and each other even when itās hard! Care for those who need it most! Allow yourself to make mistakes and forgive yourself when you do! Release shame, fear, and coercive control of any kindā they rot you from the inside out. The future needs your honest, shameless, beautifully imperfect self. You deserve to let yourself exist as wholly and authentically as you experience yourself. The haters will rot in their own self-hatred. The lovers will join you in communion and mutual-respect and we will co-create a more loving, just world together. The changes we seek are inevitableā and hope is prudent and vital! Allow yourself to be softened and mobilized to create the changes you wish to see in the world, starting with yourself. A better world is possible!
