Join us tonight at Pt Turton Jetty from 6pm to honour our ocean friends. Bask in the light of Sally the Stingray lantern as she is carried as a symbol of hope, grief, connection and care for our sea.
At
@sypsounds on Sunday many people collaborated to build a beautiful big smooth ray representing Sally the Stingray from Point Turton. Making her was a wonderful opportunity to talk about grief and hope for our oceans in the face of what we have witnessed amidst the algal bloom along our coastline.
Her journey doesn’t end here either. She will be travelling from Yorke Peninsula to meet with other lanterns built by communities also facing the same challenges as part of the
@toxic.surf project. Presenting at
@limegreenfest on this Saturday night and giving a voice to our collective grief and hope in a cross-regional setting.
