4 years ago I made my first risograph print of Duthie Park, and now the collection’s grown to 18+ designs, multiple stockists and some unreal opportunities. Who knew a passion project, love of my home country and obsession with a very specific printer would land me here 🥰

When the @thebelmontcinema got in touch to talk collaboration we couldn’t have said yes quick enough.!
Many of us spent many years at the Belmont and are desperate to see it re-open.

Eva Crawford-McKee shared an inspiring insight into her creative practice as a graphic designer and printmaker, and reflected on how attending one of our Ladies, Wine & Design portfolio reviews helped set her career in motion. It felt especially meaningful to now have her speaking with us, sharing her journey and experience. Her vibrant, tactile approach was such a joyful celebration of hands-on making — and a reminder that yapping is cool!!

Eva Crawford-McKee is a Scottish graphic designer and printmaker based in Aberdeen, known for her vibrant, colour-rich work, bold typography and love of tactile processes – especially Risograph printing. A graduate of Gray’s School of Art (HND Visual Communication & BA (Hons) Communication Design), she works across a wide range of materials from banners and vinyl to t-shirts and prints.
Alongside freelance design projects and local commissions, Eva runs Eva’s Handcrafted Paper Goods & Other Cool Thingamabobs, where she sells her playful paper-based creations at markets. Her long-running Risograph series, inspired by vintage travel advertising, reflects her love of hands-on making and the places around her.
On the evening, Eva will be sharing insights into her creative practice, building a design career in the North East, and bridging analogue craft with digital design.

The last few months in the print studio have been something special, led by Eva Crawford-McKee; graphic designer, print obsessive, Gray’s alum, and part of the local creative community we’re proud to collaborate with 💛
Across nine workshops, Eva guided Engage participants through typography and print by doing, testing, remixing, and trusting the process. From tape-built lettering and small-scale ink drawings, to ransom-style posters, Letraset collage, hand lettering, screen printing, and letterpress, this series focused on exploring type in multiple direction.
Rollers loaded with ink, type locked in, screens pulled, prints drying, ideas passed across tables. Work grew from A5 through to A2, with participants building confidence in hierarchy, grids, colour, texture, and collaboration, leaving with printed work that feels distinctly their own.
Huge thanks to Eva for the care, generosity, and deep love of print she brought into the studio. Print very much lives on. 🐾
