Celebrating a significant milestone in book sales today! 🚀
My Doric for Beginners book has sold over 4.2K copies, and when combined with my other 2 books, that’s a whopping 5,000+ in book sales. Apparently if you sell over 5,000 copies, it’s considered a major achievement. Woop woop! 🎉
I am so very grateful to all the wonderful indie stockists and customers who have supported my side hustle. It gives me creative freedom to allow me a free rein with my imagination and express what’s inside my random, jazzy, left-field brain. This is my ikigai, that gets me out of bed every morning. My creative cup is filled to the brim and overflowing. Cheers!

I’ve been busy working up some new Doric titles for you to enjoy. Here are my sketches for four books that I’ve got in the pipeline:
1. Doric in yer Pooch
Local travel guide wi a twist. A coothie wee pocket guide for travellers exploring the North East corner of Scotland.
2. A Fantoosh o’ Futrets
Imaginative children’s book with collective nouns o critters in Doric, featuring lively illustrations.
3. The Curse o’ the Sands o’ Forvie
A Doric Manga-sytle Graphic Novel based on the folklore tale of Fivie, and how it came to be buried.
4. My First hunner words in Doric
Illustrated guide for pre-schoolers and early learners of Doric.

Series of augmented reality kiddies mindfulness adventure, taking a slow journey through a favourite local beauty spots. This ties in with my Doric wellness channel called Chilloot (still a work in progress).

7. A Lovliness of Ladybirds
Illustrated book of groups living in peace and harmony.

World Book day shouldn’t be about dressing up in natty costumes. It should be an inclusive, low-cost, fun event that everyone can join in with, no matter the cost. Encouraging and instilling a love of reading for pleasure!
