Hello there! Star Wars day has finally arrived. Been so fortunate to have so many amazing guests over the years in studio bringing their love and passion for Star Wars. And now its my turn. The lovely @areyouforio asked me for a star wars concoction, so here we are! We are combining star wars, the release of Mandalorian and Grogu, and my birthday with one of my all time favorite desserts star wars-fied. The test kitchen fired up a whipped cream sandwich fit for a padawan. This simple and delicious treat is out of this galaxy!
We went with a big batch for this recipe and separate bowls for different colored whipped cream.
Big bowl (for green blade):
1 1/2cup heavy whipped cream
1/2cup of powdered sugar
5 drops of green food coloring
1 drop of yellow food coloring
2tsp of vanilla extract
Small bowl (for grey hilt)
1cup of heavy whipped cream
1/4cup of powdered sugar
1tbspn of black food gel
1tsp vanilla extract
Dash of edible glitter (save for after whipping the cream)
*may need to add more powdered sugar for thicker whipped cream*
This is where the fun begins....
Pack that whipped cream into your dish, then place your favorite chocolate wafer style cookie (we used chocolate graham crackers) and layer until you fill the dish. Can add more black gel for details and edible glitter on the hilt to make it pop.
Stick the dish into the fridge for 2 hours at minimum and enjoy this ice cream style sandwich without the brain freeze!
