“Do you wanna take some edibles and go to the sphere?” “When did you become my best friend?” The answer is: He always was. My dad, Bob Rivers, passed away last week after a 3 1/2 year battle with cancer. I obviously have so much to say, but I decided to just post the video of my eulogy speech on YouTube. I got to deliver some much needed laughs for the intimate crowd that could make it to the boonies in New Hampshire on short notice and he’s a public figure so maybe it will give the fans some relief as well and I’m pretty proud of the writing I did in 3 days too. I think they’re working to put together a bigger celebration of life at a theater in Seattle for the public soon. Hopefully I can keep adding to it. Not many people get a Eulogy Late Show! This week I’ve scheduled clips every day that are all about Bob. He gave me tons of material, so enjoy. I’ll post more slides as I feel inspired and am kicking around a few ideas to help keep his memory alive. In the meantime, he has a library of songs and classic interviews on YouTube, Spotify and his website. Thank you for your messages, texts and phone calls. I’ve never felt so popular and just like my career. It’s mostly because of him. ❤️
