Shot for @_altstudios and @studioyouel • Repost • ALT PROJECTS . Concept: Ravensworth Nurseries A new retail and hospitality offer set beneath an expressed timber portal frame structure; located within the vast horticultural grounds of Ravensworth Nurseries, Richmondshire, North Yorkshire. The pictured 1:50 model (1160mm x 400mm) consists of a natural walnut veneered base with the proposed design, including the primary structure and façade detailing crafted in solid oak. The model has a removable roof to appreciate the internal rhythm of its expressed structure, as well as the fixed and loose point-of-sale joinery / furniture - all intricately modelled in solid oak. . Shot for Ed Vince @ed_vince @rcasculpture | • @ed_vince 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯, 2025 Various found materials, staples, adhesive, bungee cords, cable ties, fixings, spray paint, bronze castings Dimensions = Variable ________ Thank you to everyone who came to my show at the RCA. I was blown away by the faces, friends and family that came through. Some folks I haven’t seen for years, joining the dots through time and space. The reception to the work was powerful and has brought so much life to my practice which continues beyond this MA. Below is a little more context about the work. Love xxx ________ 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 operates on multiple levels. On the surface, it references the materiality of the work — most of it crafted from the wood of evergreen forests. But more significantly, the title gestures toward the enduring relevance of these found materials: the notion that they are still alive, still useful, and perhaps always will be, despite having been discarded. A third layer of meaning emerges in one particular piece within the installation. I printed a marketing image of the EVERGREEN shipping corporation’s largest container ship — famously lodged in the Suez Canal — onto Douglas Fir floorboards of unknown origin. That single event, which brought global trade to a standstill and triggered a cascading economic crisis, serves as a powerful symbol of the fragility and absurdity of global systems built on constant growth. My work confronts the flattening of material culture driven by the insatiable demands of globalisation. It’s deeply unsettling that I can’t trace the origins of most of the materials I work with, even though many are quite literally of the land — grown from the earth. Their original context, their story, has been erased. This absence of origin reflects a broader cultural condition: the homogenisation, commodification, and pasteurisation of life itself. ________

Shot for @llco.london • From the workshop — 1 Undershaft Design Development Models with @ericparryarchitects for Aroland Holdings & @stanhope_plc 1:50 scale facade investigations exploring material junctions and details at Ground, a Typical Tower Bay and the Crown for Londons tallest new building. Using models as a design development tool is our favourite brief, they feel full of energy and can change quickly so you can’t be too upset when you need to pull off some of your carefully executed parts to form the latest iteration. The Ground facade model cleverly balances on the weathered steel trident, with just three tiny points of contact on the model base. #architecture #london #architecturemodel #render #design #models_architecture #scalemodel #architecturedesign #building #art #sculpture #model #facadedesign #scalearchitecture #handmadeuk #madeinlondon #modelmaking Pics by the wonderful @studio.s.p
