We are pleased to announce our participation in Safe & Sound, a group exhibition at Leroy Street Studios during NYCxDESIGN, exploring objects of care, designed by architect-makers.
We will be exhibiting our Bryophyte Pedastal Table, which offers comfort through contrast; pairing a minimal reflective steel monolithic exterior with a protected, living moss environment held beneath glass. The interior landscape cannot be touched, only observed, creating a sense of quiet distance that preserves and shelters what is inside.
Comfort expressed here emerges not through softness alone, but through protection. The sense that something delicate is being held, cared for, and allowed to exist undisturbed within the home.
Transient spaces provide opportunities for design that are often times over looked. In this adjoining room, Nima Jeizan’s “Husk II” takes the spotlight (literally thanks to the architecture) along with a marble center table topped with sculptural dried flowers, with the primary suite beyond.

When a client acquired their penthouse in one of Boerum Hill’s most architecturally ambitious new buildings, designed by SO-IL, they asked us to bring the interior to life. Rather than soften or conceal the building’s raw concrete and prismatic light, we leaned into it, layering warmth, texture, and a collector’s eye for objects with material and visual strength.
Getting out ahead of NYCxDesign Week, we are showing the second edition of our Téssara Aktís Desk Lamp for the 6th @headhi_ny Lamp Show, co-curated by @super___house
The Téssara Aktís Desk Lamp highlights the deceptive complexity of a cube. When folded and closed, its edges are illuminated, and when opened, the light is revealed and is reflected in its interior mirror-polished faces. Téssara Aktís refers to the origins of the word tesseract, derived from the Greek téssara (‘four’) and aktís (‘ray’) and referring to the four edges that join each vertex to other vertices.

Multifunctional rooms are almost a requirement when you’re living in the city. This kitchenette serves as a second area for cooking, a laundry room, a wine cellar, and, since it’s located just steps from the primary bedroom, a convenient place to make tea while starting the day.

When we were invited to show our work at @showroom.hudson at the new Pocketbook Hotel, it was an immediate yes. The gallery was thoughtfully renovated by our friends at @ch_herrero and meticulously curated by Kenzi Wilbur of @freaksny so we knew we were in good company. All of our projects are deeply personal and distinct—from concept to final install. Studio S II develops clear narratives that guide each project from initial vision through final execution. The studio provides creative direction and schematic design that aligns aesthetic intent with functional and contextual needs. From there, we manage design development, construction documentation and administration, and all aspects of installation, bringing our clients’ visions to fruition.
