As we head into the start of the next semester we just want to highlight our super successful construction event from earlier in the year! With the help of all of our amazing donors and volunteers, we were able to fully construct 4 benches which will be utilized in the Lawrence community!

@aiasorg awarded us an amazing grant to aid us in all of our material and construction costs.
@pattonwoodworks generously donated ample amounts of material allowing us to fully construct our benches.
@structrestruct provided both material donations as well as expertise and mentorship thanks to Eric Jay, our construction advisor.
Thank you all for your support throughout this year, and we can’t wait to see you all soon!
2025 was a big year of changes! I moved to a new state with my family (husband and Minka the cat). Set up a new studio in the country surrounded by woods. My paintings were in various exhibitions, show catalogs, and art magazines. Thank you to everyone who gave me support and encouragement during this time of transition. Here are a few highlights. Wishing all a healthy and creative 2026!

@mindiepaget and I are about to take on our next and biggest project yet. After remodeling and living in 4 different homes in Lawrence, we’ve decided to build. I get a shop and she gets a big bathtub so everyone will finally be happy. Can’t wait to show some progress. We hope to break ground soon in North Lawrence.

This year is the 30th year that #danrockhill and his students in the Studio 804 class build a home in their final year. It’s literally a thesis built on sweat, effort, teamwork, good design & lots of planning.
This year there are 19 students. I got a sneak peek at the drawings. It’s going to be a cool one level home.
It’s not always glamorous, building a home. Sometimes you have to dig the footings for the foundation by hand. This looks like another strong, committed crew. I look forward to seeing them work together to manifest another cool modern home for someone in Lawrence, Kansas. @universityofkansas & @arcd_ku is fortunate to have Dan doing his thing and students who are willing to work hard, making sacrifices to accommodate a demanding school year.

Who’s next?
This weekend we will be hosting some of the top players in the Missouri Valley! Struct Restruct and Legends Dental will be sponsoring our Jayhawk Invitational from May 30-June 1. Players from (or heading to) Nebraska, Ohio State, Louisville, Drake, Butler, Nebraska-Omaha, and Rockhurst will compete for the $750 first place prize. There are 8 players split into 2 pools of 4, and each will play 4 singles matches... so plenty of opportunities to watch!
Schedule:
Friday –3 pm singles, 6 pm doubles
Saturday – 9 am singles, 1 pm singles, 4 pm doubles
Sunday – 10 am singles, 12:30 doubles
So come on out this weekend and see some excellent players competing for the big prize - it's going to be a blast!
