Funding opportunities are now available for Freedom by Design leaders to attend Grassroots 2026. 🔨
Through the support of our friends at NCARB 💙 , selected FBD Directors will receive a $1,000 stipend to assist with travel, lodging, and registration costs for AIAS Grassroots in Washington, DC.
This opportunity is intended to support current and incoming FBD leaders pursuing feasible, community-based design-build projects that address physical, socio-economic, educational, environmental, and/or cultural barriers within their communities.
As part of the experience, recipients will participate in the new Freedom by Design Activation Day — a hands-on working session focused on project planning, community partnerships, collaboration, and actionable next steps for the upcoming year.
Whether your chapter is launching a new initiative, rebuilding momentum, or advancing an existing project, Activation Day is designed to help chapters move ideas into action.
