It’s not often that cinema and sound converge in the way Embryoroom (@embryoroom ) approaches it.
The New York-based artist presents his twelve-track album ABDUCTOR, released through Australian label Stock Grazing (@stockgrazing ).
Developed in parallel, a feature-length film with Stephen Rutterford (@shadowrunnernyc ) extends the same system through self-generated processes, mirroring the record’s logic across another form.
Nothing in ABDUCTOR is incidental. Track sequencing, typography, timing and visual language are all deliberate, with hidden references embedded throughout.
Extended by a seven-track suite of more floor-facing material, the work unfolds as a continuous structure rather than a collection of tracks.

The Embryo Retrospective (50 min):
A rare curated screening tracing over three decades of Embryoroom’s practice through archival film works, many unreleased digitally or previously shown only in gallery and institutional contexts. The retrospective provides essential context for the artist’s evolving visual and sonic language. Previously screened at Leondarda da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology, MoMA PS1, Finnish National Gallery, Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and Museo Yancuic.
ABDUCTOR (50 min):
A world-first hybrid audio-visual live set featuring deep cinematic techno and early material from a forthcoming feature-length film and album. The film is co-produced with Stephen Rutterford (Shadowrunner). The album has been developed with input from Stock Grazing, with visuals and early iterations of the album unfolding live as a hybrid audio-visual performance, presented as a seated, immersive experience.
This is the only Australian performance to feature exclusive preview material from ABDUCTOR.

Huge thanks to everyone who made the @woodyninetytwo tour happen. To the crews, promoters, and venues across Australia—your support and hospitality made this something special. And to everyone who came out, listened, and shared in the experience, thank you for being apart of it all.
This tour wasn’t just about the music—it was about the connections, old and new, as well as the moments inbetween. Seeing people come together, collaborate, and build something lasting is what makes all of this worthwhile.
And Woody, thanks for bringing your sound and deep dedication to the craft. Your approach to music is inspiring, and it’s been a pleasure having you. Lastly, big appreciation to @frameworks.agency for making this happen with us.
