Every year I use the Jingle Punx song to see if I am getting better at this sound thing. I also like to call out things and people that helped me get the song just right and say thanks or call out cool gear. So here we go in no real order:
- @2200studios thanks for an awesome day in the studio. If anyone needs to record call them.
- @stevenslateaudio Vsx is amazing. But was super clutch with this song cause I could mix while my kid was home and not have him singing this at school.

- @locomotiveaudio the new power-mu 500 is all over this song. Bass, vocals, guitars. Worked great on everything.
- @purafiedaudio the new 5420 plug-in is awesome sauce and made the master POP!
@oeksound - ducking a wall of guitars with the vocals using sooth is a game changer.
Of course, all the Punx were amazing as always.

Thanks to @sampura for the op amps!!! Trying out some new flavors in some pres. Not sure what that original op amp is or even if this #diy500series is still even available. This pre should sound a little cleaner now. Need a few more @louderthanliftoff rogue 2’s and 5’s for a future api 5500. (I put the rogue 2 in this for now.) If you know what the op-amp is in the second pic let me know! Looks like this was a #eisenaudio kit of some sorts.(on permanent loan from the Larson collection.)

But I wanted to thank @mikeforst for the keys on this song and also call out some great products used. 1. @stevenslate VSX. I was so skeptical I bought it used for very cheap. But it’s amazing. I mixed on a balcony in Hawaii and in my backyard and did some of my best mixes ever. I even mastered with it. 2. @purafiedaudio the Panda Rooms plug-in made my electronic drums sound cohesive and “real” and made that process 100 times faster. 3. @neuraldsp amp plug-ins are used on all guitars. Amazing sounding stuff!
Every time I think I want a different compressor for my chain some project shows up that this @regularjohnrecording compressor is just perfect for. And the #lundahltransformers switch is just the icing on the cake. #mastering #analog
