It's mad to think it's 10 years since Prince died. I had the most insane summer job in 1990 between my first and second years of my post grad at @nftsfilmtv . I was employed to operate one of the cameras for the screens at either side of the stage, and we also did a couple of live broadcasts of the show, one on La Coruna in Spain and the other at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. It was in the days before mobile phones, so I don't have many back stage photos, just a couple from the last day of the tour in Yokohama. Security was strict when it came to cameras. I did manage to get a tambourine and a couple of guitar picks from Prince after the show in Tokyo. It was a great summer. #prince #thegoodonesgotoosoon

Chernobyl. In Nov 2013 I spent about 4 hours filming at Chernobyl and Pripyat. The second image of the houses at dusk, with zero lights on, is indicative of the atmosphere there. We had Geiger counters with us, and according to the experts who analysed the radioactivity level measuring devices we were wearing, we got less radiation there than on the flight to and from Kiev.

Funny what you find when an old friend asks if you have a copy of a photograph they took (when I had hair) ! @michael.swallow took this picture when we were doing the BA Photographic Studies course at Napier Polytechic (now University) in Edinburgh in 1987, almost 40 years ago. #timeflies

In 2016 I had the opportunity to spend 2 weeks in Sierra Leone filming part of a documentary for @thedocumentarygroup on a film about viruses. We were there to do a section about Ebola. It was an amazing trip, working with @bperlmutt @snowy_lou and @tamara_stubbs . We spent time in Freetown and out in the east of the country. This photo was taken in one of the villages we drove through in the east of Sierra Leone. The framing you see is as I shot it. I liked the fact you could only see the legs of the man by the car. Sometimes you don't need to see the face of someone to get a sense of who they are.

Back in London. Northern lights from late last week were insane.

Finally got to use the new Canon and a tripod on the northern lights, rather than just the iPhone. It's a learning process, but think these are ok. @canonuk @canoneurope

We have had so many amazing experiences in Iceland, but our Icelandic horse ride with Jule and Marsha of @icelandhorsetours was one of the most memorable.
