Marco boxes in honor of his grandmother, who battled against cervical cancer. To pay tribute, Marco commits himself tirelessly to two pursuits: working in construction during the day and training in boxing at night.

Project Update: The HVAC Replacement project at the @tsongascenter at UMass Lowell, hit a significant milestone with the installation of the first two out of five 30,000 CFM rooftop dehumidification AHUs and their condensing units. Sterling has been on-site since July 2023, completing crucial structural steel reinforcements and facilitating MEP work for the new HVAC units.
Throughout the project, the arena has maintained uninterrupted
functionality and occupancy, hosting numerous events, including games for NCAA Division I UMass Lowell River Hawks Hockey and Basketball teams, @pwhl_boston Hockey team's inaugural season, and the @mass.pirates LLC. Arena Football team.
We extend our gratitude to the @umasslowell , RFS Engineering, and the @oakviewgroup for their ongoing collaboration and efforts, ensuring the project's continued success.

Last week, we had the pleasure of learning more about BIM Process Management with Tyler Wild Wild, President of Keystone Virtual Design and Construction , and seasoned industry expert. At our Lunch & Learn session, we delved into the intricacies of BIM process management, and how our operations staff can be informed and involved in a projects 3D modeling efforts. More importantly we went over how to carry over these elements to the built environment.
The session provided invaluable insights into mastering the BIM process for general contractors. We're grateful to Tyler and Keystone VDC for sharing their expertise, and guiding us on this transformative journey.

Another project on the move! Sterling has mobilized on a new 26,000 square-foot renovation for Melrose Wakefield Hospital. This 3-story shell space will be transformed into an essential medical office, to support the adjacent main hospital campus.
A few key aspects of this project include a new VRF system, roof, an upgraded curtainwall assembly, and refreshed finishes - all collectively shaping an efficient, comfortable, and quiet office space for the hospital's operations.

We've officially mobilized at the site for Hirshberg Wozny Dental Group's newest office, in Wellesley, MA! This marks the second collaboration between Sterling and @thehirshbergwoznydentalgroup , the first being their office in Boston, MA.
Our team is set to oversee the transformation of a 3,000 square-foot space, creating a state-of-the-art dental facility. The scope includes the installation of nine dental chairs with all necessary plumbing and electrical services. Additionally, it will include a new imaging room, a break room, welcoming entry & reception area.

We're delighted to share the successful completion of our Physical Therapy buildout endeavor for @newtonwellesleyhospital . This project was a 1,300 square-foot renovation within an existing YMCA facility, featuring a revamped open exercise space, consultation room, and a newly designed workspace for staff.
Our achievement is rooted in the seamless execution of this project within a fully operational facility, ensuring no disruptions to its daily functions.

Big news! We've successfully completed a 6,000 square-foot lab and office fitout at Biognosys in Newton, MA. This complex project involved installing standalone HVAC infrastructure, with a 100% outside air handler unit and exhaust fan.
Within the tight span of 19 weeks, Sterling personnel constructed an open lab area with Tectum ceiling panels, and integrated overhead service panels. We also installed three fume hoods.
The tenants' revitalized office area now boasts high level finishes throughout, including custom millwork, Akupanel sound absorbing wall panels, and various radius cornered walls and soffits.

Project update: Sterling is nearing the finalization of the vivarium expansion project for @twist_bioscience , at Presidents Place in Quincy, MA! In partnership with Related Beal, ACTWO Architects, and BR+A Consulting Engineers, we're enlarging the vivarium that we built in 2022. Maintaining a tight collaboration with Twist Bioscience and their ongoing vivarium activities was essential, as we established new doorways, linking the expanded vivarium to the original. To safeguard the vivarium's research, we set up decibel monitors. So far, the connecting doors are now complete; we've applied and protected the epoxy flooring; the 2500 CFM Air Handler Units are installed and in the process of being set up; and our team is transitioning towards the final stages of inspections and closeout.
We express gratitude for the continued collaboration with the teams at @relatedbeal , @actwoarch , and @brplusa , on what we know will be another successful project in the books!
