TEDx: Psychedelics for the Contemporary Soul: Reclaiming Connection through Ancient Wisdom and Modern Medicine Coming up on one year since my @tedx_official talk in Davenport! In this talk, I outlined the connection crisis we are currently facing and referenced ancient practices with sacred plants that served as tools for deeper connection. Today, modern medicine is borrowing from this wisdom, and is reminding us that when used with reverence and responsibility we can find deeper meaning, inspiration, and healing. And while this renaissance may be exciting, let us not forget that human potential is boundless and that all the answers are already within us. Carrousel design @lionesschels

📣 WEBINAR ALERT: Microd*s!ng & Medications - A Pharmacist’s Guide to Safety with @spiritpharmacist Did you know that more than 1 in 5 adults receive mental health treatment, including prescription medication or therapy? As interest in microd*s!ng for mental health continues to grow, one of the most common questions we hear is: “Is it safe to microd*se alongside my current medications?” We’re excited to welcome special guest Ben Malcolm, PharmD, MPH, for a conversation exploring the intersection of microd*s!ng and psychiatric medications, including what current research says about safety and efficacy, key interactions to be aware of, and how to approach this practice through a harm reduction lens. 🗓️ Thursday, May 21st, 2026 💬 60 minutes with live Q&A 👇 Drop a comment and we’ll DM you the registration link (or click the link in bio) Can’t make it live? Throwback to @eudemoniasummit where our Research Director @steph__k and Co-Founder @allischaper explored the science and culture of psych-d-l!cs and microd*s!ng. 🍄 One of the biggest conversations during the Q&A? Psil0cyb!n vs. alcohol. A few key takeaways: 1. A Global Survey of 120,000+ people ranked alcohol among the most harmful substances overall, while recent reviews continue to support psil0cyb!n’s favorable safety profile in controlled settings. 2. A 2022 JAMA Psychiatry study found psil0cyb!n-assisted therapy significantly reduced heavy drinking days compared to placebo, with no serious adverse events reported. 3. A 2025 Lancet study linked alcohol to 2.6 million deaths globally and identified it as a leading risk factor for death among people aged 15-49. Psil0cyb!n wasn’t criminalized because the science proved it was dangerous. In fact as more research emerges, the data increasingly suggests otherwise. What do you think? 👇 #eudemoniasummit #microdosingresearch #mentalhealthresearch — Disclaimer: @microdosingcollective & @steph__k does not provide medical or legal advice. ✨ What if the ancients weren’t doing religion — they were doing neuroscience and medicine? 🪞 New research from Montreal, on the oneirogen hypothesis suggests classical psy*ch3deli*s push the brain into a dream-like processing state while you’re wide awake. Turns out, a 2,000-year-old Egyptian ritual vessel filled with Syrian Rue and blue lotus may have been doing the same thing, and, on purpose. Ancient cartographers of consciousness. Modern mirrors. 🧿 Comment DREAM and we’ll send you the full article. #psychedelics #consciousnessstudies #dreamscience #psilocybin ancientmedicine neurosciencenerds psychedelicresearch Article by @steph__k Design by @lionesschels Explore @ancestralmagi

Women’s mental health is not static. The premenstrual window, post partum, and midlife are marked by profound biological shifts alongside equally profound changes in identity, meaning, and self-relationship. Yet these transitions are often treated as isolated mood disorders, divorced from the hormonal, neurological, and existential contexts in which they arise. Psych3del!c-assisted therapies offer a different and important lens. One that recognizes women’s health transitions as whole-system events, involving brain chemistry, nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and identity reorganization, and psycho-spirituality all at once. These are the kinds of conversations we’re building space for within the GALILEA community. 🐚 Whether these therapies are part of your practice or not, education and guidance can go a long way. A simple referral can make a world of a difference for your patient. Consider this an introduction! We’d love to have you join us. Comment “GALILEA” & we’ll DM you the link to our provider and scientist-focused WhatsApp community inclusive of all medicine and therapeutic practice. ⬇️ #womenshealth #womensmentalhealth #galilea #lifestages #femalehealth PS we’re now on substack as GALILEA HEALTH. Portraits of my 36th year 🌞 Over dinner last night, my friends and I found ourselves reflecting on the miracle of being here at all, and how surprising it is that, as people, we are not more deeply guided by joy and celebration. Nothing is ever perfect; the innocence of life has indeed been taken from us, but not completely. So maybe that is the work now… to remember it and meet life just as it is, and still choose to lean toward love, connection, and C E L E B R A T I O N— big and small. What else we got but us on this big, beautiful floating rock?! 🌎

In a beautiful theatre, in downtown Davenport, Iowa, in a room where conversations like these rarely land, we spoke about ps*locyb*n. And for most, it was their first introduction! For @tedx_official , we traced a thread through time, back to the ceremonial wisdom of the Mazatec and the initiatory traditions of the Bwiti, and forward again into scientific discovery and modern spaces where people are finding peace at the edge of life. In a place where these medicines are often misunderstood or dismissed entirely, we opened a door to history, ritual, and the undeniable human need for connection. It’s not so much about whether these plants “work” or convincing people that they do, it’s more about their openness to listen. I’m excited to share more clips from this talk soon! #ted #tedx #tedxdavenport #quadcities
