Gioia 8C+ ✅️ This one means a lot to me, I tried it for the first time in 2012 when I sent the stand start, and focused on the full line a bit more between 2015 and 2016. For 10 years I haven't been back in Varazze and then this season I felt I was ready for it. The name of the boulder means Joy, and it couldn't fit better for the feeling I had once I climbed it. It is the hardest boulder I've ever climbed and it is incredible how @corechristian was ahead of its time when he did the FA back in 2008, it is considered one of the first 8C+ in the world (maybe the very first?) • Huge thanks for all the support and all the climbers who shared moments with me on the boulder (specially @jekraimondi ) and @sara_grip for the beautiful pics and the video of the ascent (coming soon).

Excalibur ✅️ Hard to imagine a more perfect line than this, I have to admit the process has been extremely difficult, from the first time on it figuring out the beta and thinking it was impossible, to the send go when I felt solid and confident. But the best thing about this project has been the people around it, sharing moments together and trying it with some of the best climbers in the world, but more importantly with my friends. I'm also confident to propose 9b+ as grade, this time I have no doubt about it, and for sure it is the hardest of all my first ascents, and probably the hardest route in Italy now! I have too many people who supported me on this project, I'll share a post with them later 🙏 • 📸@kirsch_climbing
