Had such an amazing time hosting a talk with thee Melissa Auf Der Maur (@xmadmx ) for @the.long.play.sessions at @icmpuk . We discussed her new memoir Even The Good Girls Will Cry, her reflections on the lessons learned from Gen X, and her time in Hole and Smashing Pumpkins. It’s a great read of a time in musical history that I can’t get enough of. Go out and buy her book ❤️

Please stay safe travelling today, the far right are marching from Waterloo to Whitehall from 11am - if you’re able to avoid those areas please do. Not enough words to emphasise the disgust that this is taking place at all, let alone the ongoing violence being enacted upon minoritised communities by racists & bigots (please see our stories - content warning for sexual violence), enabled by the likes of Yaxley-Lennon and Farage, and emboldened by the complete lack of opposition or intervention by a morally bankrupt Labour government.
Look after yourselves and each other, and to quote @themuzlimz - fuck these fuckin’ fascists x
There’s only two weeks to go until this year’s @decolonisefest
