Spent a couple hours on Friday night sitting at the front desk of the Asteroid Inn (@asteroidinn ) and watching the sun set, letting the denizens of Neotropolis's Kepler 609-c Promethium mining boomtown come to me for a chance to spin the grand prize wheel and enjoy some ranch hospitality. Thank you so much to @lizzufer and @justohl for making this happen, @a.bargie for some on-the-job training in the last 15 minutes of their own shift, and fine folks like @jubgrub and @jesse.thaxton for some premium chatter and company -- was an honor to keep the lights on for y'all.

Birthday expedition to Greenmount Cemetery with a couple of my favorite people, plus some Halloween photos at the end as a bonus. Found the grave of John Wilkes Booth, too, but forgot to bring a penny (guy doesn't deserve it anyway)
Whirlwind of a weekend trip to LA for the wedding of @missdoodlesalot and also a rest Monday in Burbank. Heck of a time, and nearly perfect weather. Plus, of course, quality time with Roy(!), a stop off to @themysticmuseum , and picking up some sci fi hero prop clothing from Junk For Joy costuming thrift
Garden Glow, or, sometimes driving out to Baltimore County is actually fun. Pumpkins, gourd parade, and even a real green frog protecting a little mushroom village!
Annual Farlander appreciation post comes in the form of some campsite candids this year. These are the people and the place that feels the most like home to me, within the Wasteland City gates. No one else has ever verbally sparred with me in the LARP space so intuitively, and few have extended such endless hospitality. I do not say their faction's words "Even Unto Death" because I believe every one of them bring such wonder to my life that I would rather have them living. Thank you. (Also, as a post script, Adept was out and about at this hour and thus not in this photo roll, but she is a queen of my Wastelander heart and is so incredibly capable as a leader. Bridger also could not make this year, nor the Feral Ulfsbane, and oh boy do I think the world of them even in their absence)
@golderest created a true highlight of my Wasteland Weekend with their nature walk on Saturday morning. A tour of the plants and lake bed biomes of the lower Mojave, with a dash of Wasteland flair. One of the only times I had my phone on me (gotta pull some photos off my Camp Snap) -- one of my secret favorite categories of photo is "catch the lead of the nature walk gesticulating"! We also shared some Wasteland gin made from local botanicals after, no photo but it was delicious.
It's been one year since I officiated the marriage of @tyeelr and @jooowood -- two of my best friends in the world, and the raddest couple who I've been ride or die for since minute one. Y'all mean the world to me.

Some weekend highlights -- Charity auction and variety show by @powerwordresist , games with the boys (feat @jesseflorig and his milk tea addiction), some Goblin Quest characters incl the delightful Booger by @tyeelr , a frog friend, and general shenanigans.
Taking a late afternoon tea hour with the Qianjiazhai Gongfu Cha set, and a sampler-size sachet of aged shou mei white tea with tangerine peel, from @jessesteahouse . Still gotta get down the finer nuances of steeping in a gaiwan and pouring from the cha hai, but, the cha qi effect ("tea energy") and the joy of sharing leftover tea with the tea pets (and sharing in the good times with real pet Sage) has really energized my Saturday evening ahead of an upcoming party! Gongfu is a practiced art, and I am excited to continue practicing with this style of teaware.
