Came home from @themakercamp with a bunch of these very cool @sparkcycleworks posters from Matt. Had to make some into notebooks and they are badass indeed! We decided to do a collab so he’s got about a dozen in his shop and I’ve got about a dozen to mail out. Who wants one?!

I received the recording of the story I told with @mothstories in Portland a few weeks ago. It was a meaningful experience for me and I’m happy to share this with anyone willing to take five minutes to listen. My kids and I sure had a lot of fun @geocaching together. Our little video from the film festival that gets mentioned is listed in the comments.

I am now a @mothstories storyteller! I’ve been an avid listener of The Moth for many years. Entering a StorySlam has long been on my list of things to someday try. I decided to make it a priority for 2026. And when I looked up details I saw the very first one of the year was prioritizing first-timers like me. So I went from “maybe I’ll try this” to “I did it!” in the span of four days.Located at @theoldchurchconcerthall in Portland, it would have been a very meaningful night even if I hadn’t gone onstage. Nine other brave first-timers shared their unique stories. And the amazing host @megferrill set the perfect tone and kept things flowing. It’s certainly the most fun I’ve ever had in a church pew!I’m so glad @lomilla and our friends @markadamspictures and Sara Parks shared the evening together. We will definitely go back!

Big thanks to @berchtolddesignbuild for providing the amazing axe handle and to @bastionhead for helping hang it. It’s been a week since rolling home from @themakercamp , and I’m still replaying the memories.
