Specter (Andres Ordonez) has spent over 25 years shaping his signature take on Chicago house. Beginning at age 15, he cut his teeth on house, disco, and italo at basement parties before folding Detroit techno’s raw minimalism into his sound during the ’90s loft and rave era. A respected fixture by the early 2000s, he co-founded Tetrode Music and later connected with Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature, releasing the Pipe Bomb EP, The Gooch, and the acclaimed album Built To Last. Specter’s sound balances soul, techno, disco, and deep house into pure, infectious funk.

JS Alvarez is a shape shifting lizard that has learned human behavior from living in cities such as Chicago and Miami. He succumbs to no one genre and can be found exploring the depths of mutant techno and unruly bass music alike. He is the founding force behind Research & Development, born at Chicago’s Smartbar, and can be found at Podlasie Club, warehouses, and underground spaces across the city and beyond.

Chachi Guerrero, Venezuelan-born and Midwest-rooted, has spent nearly two decades cultivating inclusive dance floor communities. Her multi-genre approach has taken her from Resident Advisor mixes and Boiler Room Chicago to marathon sets at Burning Man. In 2018, she founded Bless This Mess, an underground collective centering LGBTQ+ and femme artists by pairing local talent with international acts, creating vibrant, welcoming spaces for all.

Merrick Brown brings over 30 years behind the decks as one of Chicago’s most respected underground selectors. His genre-spanning sets move through deep house, broken beat, UKG, electro, and techno with psychedelic flair. A lifelong rave devotee with Detroit influences, he’s also the founder of Tektite Recordings and Chalant Music. Every set delivers deep cuts and unexpected connections.
