SOUP designed the first issue of Ödd Paper, a newspaper launched at Ödd Üniverse’s LDF 2025 event – The Drinks Lab. The paper is punched through with two eye holes, inspired by Ödd Üniverse’s ‘Peepers’ stools and branding. Part catalogue, part cultural editorial, the newspaper assembled essays, recipes and reflections on design as a mindset – a printed extension of the Ödd Üniverse itself. We are excited to finally share images of AB Collection, a project we have been working on since 2020. AB Collection is an ever-evolving printed archive of works acquired by a private collector. The identity of the collection centres on the fortuitous initialism of the collector’s name, and is used to form the basis of an alphabetical index that runs throughout. We produce a cloth-bound box annually to document all pieces acquired that year. Within, each artwork is reproduced as a loose sheet in a range of formats and stocks to complement the piece, with blind embossing and UV varnish finishes used to further accentuate formal features of selected artworks. The loose sheets are sorted alphabetically into four folders, and a coding system assigns each artwork a unique reference number for easy location. An accompanying bound book comprises a text about each artist and a visual index with key artwork information. Each volume also includes a poster with an overview of all artworks added to the collection that year, reproduced to scale. Here, a spot UV is applied to the images, giving them a tactile finish against the matte paper stock.  ✏️ Texts by @flavia_fffff 📖 Boxes and bookbinding by @i_make_books 📁 Folders by @dotstudio 🖨️ Printing by Emmerson Press 🔠 Magister by @omni.type 📸 @eva_herzog_

Scans from Oishii! Japanese Food Style, the latest book by @manami.tokyo , edited by @gitlowww and published by @prestel_publishing . Designed by @ninajuaklein (@soup.work ) and @johnphilipsage (spreeeng). The book plays with a dynamic and expressive visual language, reflecting the vibrant energy of Manami’s writing. The design employs chaotic, layered layouts, blow-up images, and blurry, colourful backgrounds. 🔤 Pareto by @abcdinamo , Tekno by @goodtypefoundry , Blitz by @outofthedark.xyz , Good Girl by Marion Bisserier, Kachi-Buwa by @emi.taka.hashi and Union by @radimpesko

Postcards for Plot Lines, a project aiming to gather and share stories from residents of West Waterlooville through a series of guided creative writing workshops. The postcards were produced with 16 variations of the ever-evolving boundary graphic that forms the Plot Lines identity, and will be delivered to residents’ homes to inform them about the project. 🔤 Kalice by @mltypestudio

Book design for @manami.tokyo ’s latest book ‘Oishii! Japanese Food Style’ edited by @gitlowww and published by @prestel_publishing . ‘Oishii! Japanese Food Style’ celebrates the visually striking aesthetics of Japanese food, from haute cuisine to vending machines. We went all out: custom stickers, six different typefaces, and a cover where we swapped process magenta for fluro pink (because extra is the only way to go). 🔤 Pareto by @abcdinamo , Tekno by @goodtypefoundry , Blitz by @outofthedark.xyz , Good Girl by Marion Bisserier, Kachi-Buwa by @emi.taka.hashi and Union by @radimpesko Designed by Nina Jua Klein (SOUP) and John Philip Sage (spreeeng)
