Last week was the special launch of Nourish: a Taste of Ethiopia 🇪🇹/ Eritrea 🇪🇷 featuring our amazing chef and friend @yalem_tef , sharing the dinner table with 12 beautiful ppl from across the world. 🎥 Captured beautifully by @jaunt.xyz and will soon be available for full viewing on YT. 🍴We feasted on delicious Ethiopian/Eritrean fusion flavors including: - Lentil sambusa w charred jalapeño crema & roasted red pepper sauce. - Roasted mekelesha carrots w/ passionfruit tahini - Silsi short rib ragu over papardelle - Tiramisu made with coffee straight from Sidamo, Ethiopia - Most refreshing spiced cocktails infused with Tej (honey wine) provided by @theheritagewinery . Over a shared meal, we learned about each other’s history, sharing our own cultural experiences: some as immigrants trying to adjust to the US, some as US-born seeking connection to their own heritage, bonding over how many similar experiences we share despite our different backgrounds. What’s Next? 1. The experience was filmed and will soon be available to watch as a Webseries 🍿 2.
