On the title track, Tom is joined by Matthew Farrell on viola da gamba (a 15th century cello) and throughout the album are the beautiful vocals of Swedish singer Ylva Grönlund.
On the creation of ‘Plastic Borough’ Tom summarises: ‘It’s somewhere between broken and beautiful. Between organic and synthetic. A beautiful struggle in some ways. I love just getting lost in hypnotic loops and sequences, but finding subtle ways to keep things moving - this album is that in a nutshell.”

I first heard this album in 2021 and must have listened to it through in various settings 20+ times.
It’s such a complete record — a proper sonic statement that deserves to be played from start to finish.
Liam and Joe came to Notts in Jan 2022 and we wrapped the mix together. Can honestly say I’m proud to have been a part of its journey, and it makes me so happy seeing it out in the world.
