Cat’s out of the bag! I will release ‘Nostalgia’ on August 7. Nostalgia is Sol Miracula’s first release in 5 years, joining forces with Noctivagant records to bring it to life. The album encompasses states of grief, solace and acceptance; a compilation of 5 pieces composed between 2019 and 2025, given purpose in the act of letting go. The philosophy of Nostalgia is also reflected in the conceptual nature of the pieces, closing a chapter and leaving a landmark in Sol Miracula’s lore. The pieces highlight a variety of composition techniques at the core of Sol Miracula’s sound, ranging from structural approaches like the palindrome shape of ‘The Praying Mantis’ or the cyclic nature of ‘Solemnity’, the instrumentation variety including field recordings and theremin in ‘Ciel Couleur Carbone’, the DIY synthesizer exploration featured in ‘Cortex (Y)’, and the hands-on improvisation that made ‘Miracle’. Nostalgia is the perfect soundtrack to reminisce of something lost, remember someone gone, or simply to recollect memories almost forgotten. The album will be available to stream on all platforms, as well as physical copies on CD via Bandcamp. @tnagavitcon
