With Hydro, Danish designer Sofie Østerby references classic ceramic vases and ancient Greek vessels. Made from mouthblown crystalline glass using traditional techniques by skilled craftspeople in Poland, the shape still resembles traditional iconic pottery in a new material that brings a modern take on the traditional vessel.

Throwback to the beautifully put together @mindcraftproject that I was lucky to be part of with the Slope Dining Table:
“Through the design of the Slope dining table, Sofie Østerby has merged monolithic forms with a tactile and humanistic approach to detailing. Inspired by the way in which people interpret and digitise physical landscapes – in this case topographical maps, Østerby has instead re-interpreted the two-dimensional back into the physical; each of the table’s components acting as a single “slice” of raw terrain. Produced entirely from CNC milled, thermo treated ash wood, the tight grain and uniform colour of the timber highlights subtle shifts in form as irregular bevelled edges invite the user to interact with each of Slopes organic components.”

I am happy finally to be able to share my new Slope dining table made for this year’s @mindcraftproject .
The table is CNC milled in soild thermo ash and is made as part of a collection already consisting of two coffee tables.
The exhibition project is curated and beautifully set up by Maria Bruun @bruundesign and is running until the 25th of October at @kvadrattextiles showroom.
