Each work in our Student Choreography Workshop offers a glimpse into the artist behind it, and Year 4 Jazz & Contemporary Trainee Sofia Celio
@sofia.celio brings a deeply personal voice to her creation. Rooted in a heartfelt and emotional narrative, her piece weaves in a recorded conversation with her father, offering a unique perspective on life that shapes the tone and intention of the work.
Through sharp, staccato movement and moments of vulnerability, the choreography reflects both strength and sensitivity, embodying Celio’s individuality as a dancer and storyteller. It is a work that feels honest, intentional, and distinctly her own, and we are proud to have it premiere as part of this year’s Student Choreography Workshop.
Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the incredible choreographers bringing their work to the stage.
