What an absolute pleasure to revisit the ambient soundscape we made for Tiny Tetley for @play.explore.art@yorkshirecontemporary and rework it to incorporate recorded sounds made around @leedslibraries for the new Tiny Totley playspace. We loved sending the recorder down the old book lift!
These safe, creative and playful spaces are so needed in Leeds City Centre, some respite/excitement for families with young children can be difficult to find.
We started this project the day I went into labour, Iggy has enjoyed it as a tiny baby, crawler and toddler which is amazing.

I haven’t had chance to post about this as I’m currently on tour playing spooky dungeons with my equestrian brothers. Our 5th album ‘REALITY CHEQUES’ has been out almost a week now. We wrote it in 2018/19, broke it in on the road and recorded it live at the end of 2019. As the essence of the album is deeply routed in our connection and interaction as a live unit it didn’t feel right to release it when the world had shut down. The time is now! It’s finally out for people to piss off their neighbours with! Thanks to everyone who’s listened to it, brought an album, come to our shows, our manager Rich @artist_tbc , Jack @ilovealcopop & anyone who’s supported us in general. We’ve been through a fucking emotional rollercoaster the past few years (as have most people!) and I’m glad the wheels haven’t fully come off yet. Thanks so much to my friends and family for their constant love & support and a massive thanks to my brothers in noise @tommydavidsonhawley & @robertjohnlee for always keeping it real.

I didn’t realise that 2 hours after singing Bowie - Let’s Dance on karaoke that Lins’ waters would break and I’d be co-piloting her through a 30+hr labour! 😱 She handled it like a total awe inspiring bad ass. I’m so proud of her an can’t believe where she mustered up the energy and strength to combat that! ✊🏻😍
A massive shout out to our heroes at the NHS homebirth team & LGI! Every midwife and NHS worker that we encountered were amazing. They did everything they could to put us at ease and delivered our little dude in the calmest, most skilful way. We’re very lucky to have them! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Our little tribe is all well and good. It’s already been a bit of a rollercoaster but it’s all worth it for this little dude. I’m currently enjoying my late night Dad shifts watching Studio Ghibli, Ancient Aliens, classic B-Movie horrors and Murder Docs to settle him in. He’s going to be a right weirdo!
He was listening to Neil Young at 5 mins old and his first album was Iggy Pop - The Idiot (obvs) so he’s already out-cooled us guys by a mile (wasn’t hard though!)

As my social media posts have slowly dwindled to only include my latest creative releases I thought it was time I announced mine & @linswilsonhq latest collaboration.
