I am excited to invite you to my upcoming show in Copenhagen this Saturday - Opening & Launch Event on the 21st of February 2026 1PM – 4PM
Flensborggade 57,1669 København, Danmark
The show is curated by @jfity
Accompanied with a beautiful text by the great @avi_bolotinsky - as always.
"... Words, characters, images - other things are needed to evoke the medium itself. Unlike a typeface pressed into paper, the photographic process relies on exposure and development. The image appears first, inverted, on a negative before emerging from within the paper itself. Slagman’s new series, Every Winter Reminds Me of the Winter Before, consists of black-and-white photographs taken during Nordic winters. The overcast environment lends the shots a uniform look despite being captured over several years, reflecting the cyclical nature of the seasons. The subjects in the photograph are often suspended in whiteness. Thin wires protrude from the snow, curling toward the edges. Dainty magpies stand out against a light grey sky. Just as the latent image reveals itself during development, the subjects appear as if from within the grain."
Looking forward seeing you there !
