Haven’t shared in quite a while, but our gardens, well, just have to. And there’s @skipshea building our new tomato trellis. And now we have our espresso with the new resident bluebird family— I love them. And for very good reason: when @danafarber called my #ovariancancer in remission, I remember that day like it was yesterday. And on my way out the door of DCFI, I stopped in the gift shop, looking for a memento of this very momentous day. I settled on a little ceramic bluebird. And ever since, I dreamed of bluebirds taking up residence in our backyard. We’d see one or two occasionally, but they never stuck around. Until this year, 14 years after that DFCI day. I am obsessed with these amazing creatures. Oh, and they love dried mealworms. And I am still tied to DCFI for follow-ups for the rest of my time allowed here. I hope the bluebirds will stay with me.
