Dear Giselle, it’s been an unforgettable journey to become you. You were more special than I imagined. You brought the biggest smile to my face, yet you made me tear up. You challenged me technically and artistically to portray the best version of you everyday. You reminded me why I have everlasting passion for this art form. This past month felt like a dream but I loved every second of it. Part II of the Arizona Trip. Visited the famous Antelope Canyon! It was so surreal! The curves and colors make everywhere a real life artwork. On the other hand, weaving through the narrow Slot Canyon was like tackling a nature’s obstacle course. The only downside was it all ended too quickly! Long over due Swan Lake BTS dump! Becoming Odette/Odile again 6 years later was truly a unique journey. Still couldn’t believe that I had the honor to be coached by the Sofiane Sylve! Although this ballet remains the most challenging one to me, life experience and the maturity gained as a dancer really helped me dive deeper into this role. It definitely wasn’t without pain, sweat, and some frustration during the rehearsal process.
